Brilliant Andy!! 40 minutes of non-stop instruction interspersed with double figure carp every 5 minutes!! If that doesn't inspire and teach my grandson (and me) then nothing will!!

Great video Andy, been very helpful. I fish Maver Hayfield lakes ,as you know its a deep venue. Which feeder in the ics range would you recommend to use . Especially using either ground bait or a mix off 2mms n ground bait. Cheers for any help . Hope to see you at match this, this year. All the best.

If each fish was that size in a match, how many nets would you need!!!! 5 seems a little insufficient for 70lb or so limits lol 3 per net :-))

I'm purely a pleasure fisherman and never really payed much attention to matches or the tactic, one thing that stood out was the maggots in water. I`ve only ever fished live maggots in any form of fishing including the method. What is the reasoning for using them dead over being alive?

Dead maggots don't break up the bait on the feeder, giving you better presentation. Also, live maggots tend to attract nuisance fish such as roach and perch.

@@UKprestoninnovations Thank you for the quick answer. I hadn't really thought about the nuisance fish, my local has a lot of F1s and the maggots get snatched up pretty quick. however it does have some big carp in so i shall give this a go :)
