Your way of teaching polish is comparatively easier than other polish language teachers in CZcams. The best thing is you pronounce every single word by splitting which helps me to catch the real utterance of that particular word. Keep it up

Here in Australia I'm an Australian married into a Polish family and have ever so slowly been trying to learn. We have taken Miss 5 and Mr 7 to Polish school since they were 4 and hubby speaks only Polish to them at home so they speak beautifully... but even after years I am still finding pronunciation so difficult. Dzien dobry, Ewelina. Dziekuje bardzo for all your Polish lessons online. I would like to speak some Polish because all my grandparents came to Chicago from there in the early 1900s but I stop speaking Polish when the last of those grandparents died in the 1960s. I've been particularly using your class on "how to count in Polish" because I use those numbers when I do some of my aerobic training. I am enamored by the way you close that particular lesson, quite personal, quite sensual. Have you done any others in that same spirit? Piotr Szydlowski

I love this! Little tricky but I remember some of this from my Catholic elementary school. The nuns were Polish and I grew up in a Polish American community. My parents and all my relatives spoke Polish. For some reason they did not want us to learn.
Ahhhh.... When I have kids I better speak Polish to them haha ...I can see how sometimes it can be hard speaking Polish all the time when you live in America . Just practice Edith and you'll get to have a basic conversation in no time. Nothing is impossible ;-))
Cześć! I just want to thank you for your amazing Polish videos. I am dating a Polish girl, and your videos are so great. You made them in a funny / serious way at the same time and that helps to learn and keep the interest together.
Also, I would like to suggest that you can make a mini serie videos about Poland as a country, you know, your traditions, typical food (make a video preparing Pierogi for example! OMG) and so on... Thanks for all, I hope that you continue making this videos, you got a new subscriber :)

If it comes to food I see that everyone loves pierogi haha and of course I do too. If it comes to learning a new language everyone is different . Everyone has a different speed of learning . I would sat if you practice every single day you'll be able to have a very simple conversation in a month or 2 .. You probably will understand more first than speak. That is just how learning another language goes. First you understand than you are able to speak . My advice is , just speak !! Even if you have no idea what you are saying haha or when you speak your language , think and say it out loud how you would say this in Polish . Good luck ! You are on the right path !

we have similar accents on the words as well i have that on mine too when im writing or talking, merry christmas we say different srecan bozic dan lol. same word for cheers though. i think because we are the same 'slavic' languages catagory.

Tak wam powiem. Że dla nas, Polaków to jest oczywiste i mamy to we krwi ale szczerze powiedziawszy delikatnie wczułem się w takiego obcokrajowca który nic kompletnie nie potrafi mówić w języku Polskim no i jednak ten nasz język jest trudny :)
"Życzę Tobie" is not correct Polish. "Tobie" and "ci" are not used interchangeably. The basic rule is that "tobie" is used when it's in a stressed position, i.e. when it's the first or the last word of a sentence (or when it's stressed for any reason, for example when opposing you and someone else), while "ci" is used when it's in an unstressed position, i.e. in the middle of a sentence . You'd say "Życzę ci zdrowia, pieniędzy, radości" (I wish you health, money and happiness). You could also say "Tobie życzę zdrowia, tobie pieniędzy, a tobie radości" - that would be perfectly correct, given that there are three people you're addressing and you wish one of them health, the other money and the third - happiness. You could also say "Życzę tobie szczęścia, nie jemu" (the use of "tobie" here is to underline that I wish it to YOU, not to HIM), but that's obviously not a nice thing to say and I wouldn't recommend saying that at Christmas ;) So, cutting the long story short, let's stick to "Życzę ci".
