I am not 100% sure of this because it was so long ago, but I believe that back when Extreme was in it's heyday and Nuno was being voted best guitarist of the year a time or two, I believe this was voted best guitar solo of the year. Ya gotta admit, it's original, as well as UNBELIEVABLE. Delay, no delay, who gives a shit. In it's day, it was the bomb. Still is.

Even using delay, are YOU solid enough to get the timing right? This is great playing by a virtuoso. Bends and held notes do not equal emotion. Technical players can convey feeling just as well. You just have to listen.

I saw Nuno play this in concert (way back when - they were on tour with Winger!), and met all the guys backstage. Nuno could barely stand he was so exhausted, but I spoke quite a bit with Gary and also with Mr. Winger himself - both really nice guys.

It is not easy to play with delay. The delay usage here makes it harder, as he isn't using it for an echo effect, but to actually play the notes between the notes that he picks. If you mess the timing of one note, you'll mess everything else. The timing precision to play this song makes it way harder thank people think.
