I've been following you for a year now because I think you are a great communicator, I wish there were many more people like you, you transmit passion for what you do. Thank you for teaching, sharing and making our learning so comfortable. For the record, I'm not a toady !!
Marisa, thank you very much for your lovely comment. You have no idea how much it makes my day. It’s such a pleasure sharing my knowledge and helping EOI students. Thanks again for letting me know 🙏
And you used the word toady perfectly, congrats!
Thanks a bunch!! Very useful. I love it.
What a useful video !. Thank you.
Thanks a million, Monica. Your videos are super useful and engaging in order to get there... some day!
Love your videos! The only matter in this one would be that the background music it’s a little too loud.
Hello Sandra! Glad you found it useful despite the 🎵 music.
Good.
😃
I actually feel blessed with this bombastic lesson
I would like high school and university expressions
Thank you in advance 🙏
Thank you so much!!!
❤❤❤ Amazing
Thank you so much Dolores!
Brillante profesora ¡ tus vídeos me animan y motivan a seguir estudiando inglés . Gracias 🏆🏅
Muchas gracias!!!
can’t stop watching your videos!!! love them so much!! Thanks Monica!
That is music to my ears Gema! Stay tuned tomorrow, cause a new video is coming out🤩🤩🥳
Me encantan los vídeos!!son magníficos! Si puedo dar una recomendación sería bajar la.musica de fondo o quitarlos porque a veces el volumen es bastante alto para concentrarse en la explicación. Muchas gracias
Gracias Carmen por tu sugerencia, la verdad es que tenía esa duda, así que lo intentaré tener en cuenta. 🙂
Very useful! Thank you! 👍🏻

Hi Mónica, thaks for this video, in my last C1 exam, the reading exam was an article about "low cost" education in UK, from The Guardian webpage. It is a huge important topic. Thanks.
Excellent, thank very much!
Me ha gustado mucho
Qué bien Rosa, me alegro!
Anyway. I have a paramount of importan news. Last week I got the B2 exam grade published in the EOI, and I got 7.1, which means that I get the certification. Thanks to you and all your videos (keep going), which are huge useful. Next year I will definitely go for the C1 level. Really, thank you very much.
That is amazing Efi, very well done!!! I am glad my videos helped, now it’s time for the next level!!!
Thank you so much. The information Is very useful
That’s awesome to hear Soledad!
Gracias por este video, es muy útil
Thank you so much, I appreciate it :-)
Nice work Monica!!
Seño, instead of "flattering" I use the phrasal verb "butter up" which its means algo así como diríamos "hacer la cama" o "dorar la píldora" in order to achieve something you wish. I guess it´s rather colloquial term so probably doesn´t suit to any formal texts, but it sounds kinda funny and sticky coz "butter up" sounds like "moisturing/oiling the situation"...
Another Idioms which are quite handy are "to bite the bullet" and " to pull your socks up" when we are refering to make an extra effort to attain some goal. Thanks a lot for the amusing vid.

Thanks for the video, Do you fancy making another about vocabulary of law level C1?
Hi there! When you say “law”, do you mean like “crime”? For example, “manslaughter”, “burglary, shoplifting, etc?
@ Yes, I do. Thanks (sorry for answering so late, I was on exams)
@@efiar2044 no problem. Ok, noted then. Crime vocab on my future video list.
Hola Monica, me encantan tus videos. Una preguntita, ¿Cómo se diría cuando se estudia FP?
Hello Carmen!! I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos 🥰. FP is vocational training or professional training in English. Thanks for stopping by!
@ Thanks you very much Monica 😘
@@carmenburgos144 you are very welcome!
👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰
yeyyy!
I'm proud to be the first my dear Monica! I'm on It right now.
As fast as lightening!!! 💨 awesome!
The problem I have today is remembering how to spell the words and say them are when conversating the word it self . In stead of saying I walk the distance of 8 miles I just learned(" traverse") what it means and I can now shorten my sentence cause traverse mean to travel across are though a distance. It's finding a way to say it . (I walked, traveled a distance of 8 miles . ) How do I say it like this with traverse being used ? To shorten all these words with traverse it's meaning to travel across are though. If I'm right here I go (travers 8 miles through trees 🌴 ). Is this right this is what I believe we been trying to do and how the Bible was written books cause if we don't shorten sentences and word use then how big a book would be with all those words and how we got so many other words to shorten a sentence. We could never explain this to students kids are are self cause we got so many other things going on in our minds .
Ive heard as a "teacher's pet" as another term as "pelotilla de la clase". Is that so?
Ups, actually I look like just that....
Hahahah, well, the teacher’s pet has more to do with the teacher and not with the student. That student might be the teacher’s pet but perhaps he or she is not doing anything in particular. On the flip side, el pelota is the student who is constantly trying to get on the teacher’s good side…
Really, are you a swot in real life? Interesting! 😉
@ all right, now I got the picture... After all, we have to confess as human beings that every single teacher loves to be bribed & has his/her own pet hidden in some place of their heard.... don't you? Hahaha
Btw, don't assume that I'm a swot by any means...but also a diligent student with your lessons! I really wish to sign in to your EOI for my C1 this incoming season, but I'm sadly into breeding stage right now and I'm getting throw a lot this past two years :(
Take it easy colleague!
El video es estupendo pero la música está demasiado alta.
He tomado nota, en futuros videos intentaré no añadir música para no distraer. Gracias por comentar.
Music is to high 😢😢😢
Headmaster/headmister is not the same as headteacher
Hi! Yes, headteacher is a general term, while headmaster is a term for a male headteacher, and headmistress is a term for a female headteacher. A woman can be a headteacher but not a headmaster. Headteacher is non gender specific. Cheers!
Esa musiquita no me deja concentrar y entender bien el video
😥
