Can only imagine all the magic we’ve never heard on those disks.
Now we got USB flash drive
Mos definitely 💯
RZA knows about the W30 from me. That was what I used from 90-2003. All my early Wu production was made with that until I upgraded to the Kurzweil vx2000. Death be the Penalty was made on W30 also… I could go on for days about that keyboard.
i need you on here fam!!
I’m with it…
Would you say the W30 is easier to use than the ASR-10?
@@Cymatic18 no, not for me at least. It took me a month trying to figure how to get the samples into the sequencer. Staying up all night falling to sleep on it.
Thank you for your service man., BIG UP FROM THE UK.@@4thDiscipleTV
love this. that w-30 needs to be in a museum. endless hits.
This is everything! So dope and legendary! 💛
Erick is a legend. Can't wait to hear the music that he and Dr.dre produced.
Good luck on that. 😂
Dre is going to put it out under another name so he can receive all the money his self
Yes!
He really has tissue in his nose the entire interview😂😂😂😂
_--REDMAN Style💯!!-_-
Bloody nose flow
I get bloody noses I know his struggle
Ode to Reggie…
Bad allergies, I used to walk around all summer just about like that and a good portion of the winter also.
This is hip hop for real. 💯
Yo doggy the producer community needs an abundance of these videos with the OGs. Difference with producers is we respect our elders. Brooklyn keep on taking it
Yoooooooo!!!! A real Producer asking real Producers real questions is DOPE😃
thank you for watching!!
Now this the type ish we like to see!!!!!! Thanks Doggie!!
Wow!!! I seen him talking about the board but there it is!!!
I’ve had my Roland W-30 for years I just started getting active on it and my Ensoniq EPS but after Eric saying he used it on all those songs. I’m now inspired to use it again!
How is the sampler and sequencer on there?
@@Cymatic18 workflow is clunky. The sampler has a buttery analog sound.
@@drenolynbeats that sounds like a description of the ASR-10 lol.
@@Cymatic18 yeah but you only get 15 seconds split into 2 banks at 7.5 a piece or 30 seconds in one bank with higher sample rate and then you loose that grit that it’s known for
@@Cymatic18 I have an EPS Classic and it’s workflow is way better, but the W-30 has a unique sound.
THANK YOU for this channel Doggie!!!! Peace
Dope.
The Producer Show 😎
Dope!!! Love the work Eric Sermon created for EPMD, solos and the squad!!! They the reason I fell in love with hip hop. Strictly Business was the first hip hop album I heard straight through; I borrowed my Uncle Kevin’s cassette Walkman while he was at work!!!
I was like whoa…… who is this!🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯🧠💫
Dope vid Roland w30 only 15 seconds of sample time
Damn, I was hoping to hear E play some of those old sounds!
2:53 SHOLO TRUTH EL HOMBRE DEL RENACIMIENTO!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yessir! I wanna hear whats on them floppy disks!
I love ❤ this video. E Dub & RocWilda! Straight up gems
Mad insider knowledge in this! Roger Troutman built a talkbox synth for Teddy Riley whuuut.
That was fire doggie... You just took us behind the scenes
more to come!
I'm very excited to see The Titans in there work space.
Okay I’m subscribing
Can’t wait for the next one!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Amazing. I believe this is Erick’s basement studio too.
Nah it’s a complex
@@theinterludetv dope!
Thanks Doggie, appreciate this, I still have my Roland W30 Erick is talking about. I never really learned how to use it till this day.
Pure hip hop 🔥🔥
DJ QUIK!
The Green Eyed Bandit! 🫡
F-kin FIRE. I love this clip, dying with the ASR moment
🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥 I like these kind of interviews Doggie Diamonds 💪🏾
doggie daimonds you should do an interview on all the legendary producers in their studio. kinda like a studio tour. that shit will hit. there' a guy doing it but not with our legendary hip hop pioneers.
i agree. would be DOPE!
I like the Burner
Peace Doggie Diamonds, watching the play back. 💯
Dope!!!!
Oldies but goldies.
I knew from way back Erick used the W-30 but I never heard him talk about it that much. I wonder what it was about the ASR-10 he didn't like..workflow? sound? Also I wonder why not very many producers used the W-30? Everyone mostly just used SP1200, EPS/ASR, MPC etc...
Probably just familiarity
LEGENDS. PERIOD.
Dope!

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My first official keyboard was the Korg N364
🔥🔥🔥 this is a gem for real. Being in that room and building with those icons is the type stuff I dream of. I know Doggie picked up some priceless advice as a producer.
How Erick sermon going to forget bosko. He literally is one of the kings of the talkbox. Bosko, BC and Quik are the masters of the talkbox..
I got that Roland keyboard for sale. It's called the jd xi
Ensoniq asR10 is the one to have
Peace to E and Roc
I started on a W30. You had to take it apart and clean the clear plastic strips when the keys stopped working.😂😢😢
I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!! GREAT CONTENT, DOGGIE!!!! ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS!!!!
Thank you for watching
its funny they never mentioned Devante Swing on the talkbox!!!!!
they did in this footage
2:27 non-chalantly tosses hip-hop history aside 🤣 and that Roland W30 should be in the smithsonian right next to Dilla's MPC.
What about sample clearence?
Just Blaze didn't make money on "Breathe." But the exposure he got from it more than paid for itself.
D.J. Rogers never gets mention , and he was doing in it in 1975. I was like 😳🤯 I just thought it was Roger.
The talkbox?
@@theinterludetv yes.
@@theinterludetv Common sampled this record , but you probably already knew. czcams.com/video/Pw4eSNOMSOY/video.htmlsi=rcrxkQcWxS7-amUU
