D.O. promoting as a soloist under SM and Doh Kyungsoo promoting under his own company is like night and day. He’s done so many amazing collaborations since Blossom came out but this is my favorite. It gave me chills the first time I watched it and has every time since.
Correction:
Doh Kyungsoo is not an SM Artist anymore. He is a soloist under his company CSS. Kyungsoo is only involved when there is group activites but as of now there are no group activities so he is he working more as a solo artist now.
@@user-pe8us7zj6n His first two solo albums were released and promoted by SM. Only his third album is under Company SooSoo. That is the basis of the comparison.

These two are fans of each other. Please do watch the whole show episode if you haven't. Many people are saying its the best episode they have watched of IU palette. Its so funny too cause Kyungsoo is so unpredictable 😊. The day they collaborate to either a song or a drama or both is a dream come true for me. It was their 1st time actually conversing with each other after over a decade of being colleagues in the industry. Its my first time hearing this song in IU palette. And the moment Kyungsoo open his mouth I knew it was going to be absolutely perfect for them. ❤
To answer your question: No they weren't close when they filmed this, actually, it was their first time really talking/singing together... Insane right!! xD. I think you should check the full episode it's super cute. Also, they are fans of each others work, she really like his songs and voice and he knows most of her songs too/ went to her concert.
