  • I love incorporating living books into our homeschool subjects. My teens learn so much more about the topics they are interested in (and I learn right along beside them). I'm so happy to see so many of the books included in the Guest Hollow Botany curriculum. We are doing that in our family in this coming year and I am really looking forward to it.

I read every single book my daughter did for the course and was fascinated. I’ve been gardening a long time and still learned so much new information

    Loved the recommendations.. 😊 thanks.
Esp loved the one about Death in different cultures.. and the earthworm book...
Also, the Wonders of nature is in TBR..
And a little suggestion to choose some novels and picture books based in Africa that is fun too.. contemporary ... and based in cities.. so Africa is not just 1D with just sufferings portrayed.. where it is a huge continent with all sorts of people.. not just terrible situations..
Same goes for S.America and Asia.
    But Africa esp.

    May I recommend a book?
DARK ENOUGH TO SEE THE STARS IN A JAMESTOWN SKY by Connie Lapallo.
It is based on the true stories of women and children at Jamestown. A wonderful book for older middle schoolers and high schoolers.

@@mypracticallyimperfectlife You are welcome. I had to edit the title. It is "IN" not "OF". Oops. I typed the wrong preposition! Have a great day!

She is doing Botany from Guest Hollow. It’s a living book based curriculum. They are actually running a great sale through the end of January on all their programs!
