"Black History Month | A Conversation with Dr. Daniel McNeil"
February is Black History Month. This year, we spoke with Dr. Daniel McNeil about what Black History Month means to him and how we can understand not only its historical value but its cultural value too. In the short interview, McNeil discusses "The Black Studies Podcast" that he co-produces and co-hosts, his 2023 book Thinking While Black: Translating the Politics and Popular Culture of a Rebel Generation, what Black History Month means to him, and the value of Black History Month in educational institutions.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Daniel McNeil for participating and sharing his knowledge and perspective on Black History Month, and to Josh Weisenberg-Vincent for interviewing, filming, and editing.
