- I've been planning for a long time to record guitar cover videos of a few of my favorite songs, and finally i had time to do it. The audio is unedited, it is my Stratocaster directly into GarageBand Brown Tone Metal factory preset, so sorry for all the glitches and sloppiness here and there. I just play parts of the original Timo Tolkki solo, the rest are my ideas. I don't own anything, all credits go to Stratovarius for this awesome music!!
Stratovarius - Black Diamond
album: Visions (1997)
Recorded with Fender HW1 Strat (w/ SHR-1b) - iRig - GarageBand (Brown Tone Metal factory preset) - Hudba
The best so far

Thanks, mate! Regards from Hungary 🤘🤘
I see a tiger behind you. Personally, I love the animals and of course, the tiger is my favourite one. Concerning to the cover... I have to manifest tha you play pretty clear and so nice as always. Keep the great work! :)!
Parabéns mano.. muito bom !!!
Thanks mate!
you are amaaaaaaaazing
Thank you, Laura! 😊🤘
Great job dude! at some parts in the solo i had a hard time hearing what you were playing vs the mp3 so maybe next time you could turn your guitar up a little bit, after all we are here to listen to you!
What i do is that i have a different patch for the solos with a bit more volume, i dont know how that translates to your methods but i hope it helps.
Again, great Playing!
Thanks mate!! I tried to do my best to mix it properly, but the original guitar and keyboard solo tones are cutting through my guitar easily despite begin way louder, and beyond a certain point it just becomes a complete mess due to the different notes. One of my favourite songs but i think it still needs to be practiced and clarified here and there to make a good guitar cover. Thanks for watching!
I dont know how you are equalizing your guitar but if it cant cut trough the mix then you need to turn up the mid frequency, also having little to no distortion helps the note definition

Hi Carlos! Thanks for your comment!! There are japanese sheet books for the Episode and Visions albums, and they are very easy to find on the web, e.g. try Scribd. I am also planning to make instructional guitar videos, I can make one for Black Diamond too.
if you are familiar to the rocksmith PC or console program there is.

Awesome! What pedals do you use to play it?
I didn't use any pedals. It was straight into Garage Band with a factory preset. You can find the details in the description.
Thanks, guy. Beautiful guitar, btw.
Sweden has Yngwie... Finland has Tolkki..
I think Timo is also one the best songwriters.
And. Norway has John Norum
