I have the ANC 2s and as someone that LOVES Bass even in a car, they are my favorite, the fact you can customize the sound to your liking, noise cancellation, you get a better grip on the music , also let’s not forget watching movies on your phone, the detail sounds/noises is an absolute experience!
I enjoy both. The ANC and clarity on ULTs is awesome but I really like that extra rumble from Skullcandy when watching movies or gaming. Both are good and will keep em 😅
I couldn’t get over how terrible the rest of the song sounded (besides the deep bass activating the vibrating gimmick in the Crushers) . A distorted sounding rest of the song for the sake of having an ear/neck massage wasn’t working for me. Kept the ULT. Returning the Crushers.

@@tacticalpencil Sony ULT are more comfortable. Larger earcups, less clamping force. I guess that Crushers must be somewhat pushing more because of transferring vibrations not only through air. Can't say anything about volume. I haven't tested them in nosiy environments for example.

Can we stop this misconception with the haptic bass on the crushers. While yes, a lot of the points are true, even the "audio analyst" you had compare the actual audio quality said, "it activated the vibration motor in it" when referring to vocals activating the fake bass. Please do some research on how the headphones actually work. This is not like a game controller with haptics, this is not like a haptic vest for music, ITS A SEPERATE DRIVER TO THE AUDIO however still JUST A DRIVER like any bass would be delivered even on the Sonys, which actually means specifically the bass will in-fact alter the music LESS than the Sony bass where it is all done with the same driver.
This is no difference than having say a subwoofer, most high quality sound systems will have a sub as most people here will know. So to be frank, the actuation issue is more of a programming issue that crushers have had for a long time, has nothing to do with the bass being fake. If having a driver souly dedicated to bass to give you the biggest punch without messing your highs isn't your cup of tea, that's fine. But frankly considering how educated this guy claims to be on the subject, if the vocals are triggering the bass, that's a leveling issue. Set up a sound profile that works for you with the headphones I believe skull candy developed an app specifically for this reason. I use mine on PC though. I can only imagine their intention out of the box is to impress people with the bass even on the less bassy songs they may test with.
THIS DOESN'T MEAN THE CRUSHERS ARE BETTER THAN THE SONY, i'm sure it has a much richer sound. But I think writing off the crushers because of "fake bass" is such a terrible idea, considering they are among the most unique headphones and everyone should give them a try, even if its their much cheaper crusher evo line. It's the same tech, but they make small adjustments with every iterations so.
I think he had crushes on a 100 but 20-50% the low notes doesn’t activate. Also everyone needs to set up personal audio for crushers it makes a huge difference. The crushers in my opinion are for those who aren’t audiophiles and want to be immersed and almost feel like they are in a concert. But yes the anc on the Sonys are way better if not listing to music with both at 50% they are basically the exact same however I do like that the skull candy’s don’t give you as much of that pressure effect if you take one of the sides off to hear someone speak.

Def a gimmick but isn't replicated by any other headphone on the market! Are they the best? No! But they're such an enjoyable experience

I know they are a little pricey but if you can get your hands on the Sony ult tower and the jbl party box ultimate please do a review. I can tell you won’t let your favorite brand determine whether or not it’s better or not. A bunch of jbl fan boys like to always say jbl wins but honestly I know some of those comparisons are cap because I’ve witnessed some myself. I want to buy one of those speakers but I want an honest review and I know your just the content creator to give me an honest opinion. Great channel btw🤟

i agree on what you said. adding vibration on bass makes the music 3 dimensional. crusher is a fun headphone. if you want a real bass, go for sony ult. but to each their own.
True, because the Sony ULT WEAR headphones have real bass, but the Skullcandy Crusher headphones have fake bass, and I am going for Sony on this one!
I got them both. Returning the Crusher ANC 2 today, and keeping the ULT Wear.
With the exception of the vibration gimmick on the Crusher ANC 2, everything else is better with the ULT Wear. Sound clarity, noise cancelling, the weight of the headphones themselves, more comfortable ear pads, you name it.
The vibrating gimmick is fun to experience at first, sure. But if you care about really hearing your music properly, you need the sound quality to go with the gimmick. And it’s not there.
If anything, the rest of the song sounds distorted with the Crusher, compared to the ULT. No matter how it’s EQ’d in the app. Regardless of the Crusher intensity level. Regardless of whether ANC mode is on or off. Just doesn’t sound good. The Sonys do.
And the Sony’s have bass. Real bass. Not the vibrator.
Get a neck massager if you really need one. But Sony for headphone clarity.

Which had a higher volume? Hard of hearing here. I have the Evos but I’m not a fan of the shaker part but LOVE the bass. So I think I’ll order Sonys and compare and return the one I like the least.

Should try the crusher evo. I have owned them all and the bass on the evo are far superior to the anc2s. Yjeu screwed something up in the processing on the anc2s. Especially when the anc is on. Ot ruins the sound completely!

Yeah, Ldac bluetooth codec overall Sony has a better sound only competition in that aspect would be bose or Apple with the Max
Incredibly clearer. Unless you need the vibrating gimmick, ULT is better for listening to music in every other way

I’ve been seeing ads on a new headset that came out called the heavys. I wonder how they pair against the skullcandy crusher ANC 2
Anc2 for mobile games and movies, sony xm4 for everything else. Ive tried almost every popular headphone on the market and thats what i ended up with. The skullcandy bass gimmick just isnt replicated on ANY headphones BUT the sound quality on the sony xm4 is just unmatched, almost identical to xm5. Truly the best of all worlds in the headphone sphere ✌️ great video.

Ult level 1 is like level 3 on the Crusher and Ult level 2 is like level 6 on the Crusher
So here's my only concern. I got the ULT Wear and I love them for the most part, with one exception. They need more volume. One or two more volume steps would do it for me. I also have the crusher anc 2, and they have slightly higher max volume. So I'm gonna spam this comment around, maybe we can convince sony to give this to us via a software update. I know they want to protect our ears (avoid lawsuits), maybe they can program the headphones to give a loud volume warning like many phones already do and keep it pushing. some content is just recorded at a lower volume...

@@carlossanchez6311 I like the sound of the sonys better (with ult off and no eq) definitely cleaner. they get a little muffled sounding with both ult modes. The crushers obviously hit harder, with convincing enough tactile bass. i switch between them depending on my mood.

@kanyeeast8928 I've got the Crusher ANC 2, and they fit me great since I have a big head but since they are heavier than normal and clamping isn't that super strong, these might fall off or gets loose while doing any harsh movement or repetitive movements, ANC is okay, I mean not great but still does the job done, sound quality is better than I expected and is not just muddy bass, EQ can make the sound nicer, battery is great.
What the hell is artificial bass?😂 Hater! I just got them, and I love the Skull Crucher ANC 2. The bass 🔊 is unbelievable! 😂 Now, the ANC part is not that great if that's what you're looking for, but it does cancel out some of the background sound... But I bought them for BASS 🔊. All the other headphones sucked in that category. I even bought the Bose quietcomfort, and the ANC was great with no base at all. I couldn't believe it. 😢 I sold them less than a week later.. And I bought the skull crushers. 😊😂 So happy! BUY THEM! 💯
I call crushers EDM headphones. Imo that's the only thing they're good for. They should be great for movies but voices sound so thin it's just not fun

Haptic feedback is a novelty. Yamaha YH E700A will vibrate your head at times without it.

I was always curious about the crushers. I got the ult and to to me the anc is only ok against a nyc subway, the xm4 is better. And after about 60% on ult2 it starts to lose bass the more you raise the volume. Maybe i got a defected one idk. Great video
just buy Crusher ANC 1 or EVO. don't buy ANC 2!

@MotoFreak37 ...the original crusher anc is okay...just the anc doesn't do much. The anc 2's have some kind of software problem. I ordered a pair around the first of the year to replace my aging crusher evo's and returned them. The crusher evo is hard to beat for bass heavy music with no anc. If you need anc you will have to look elsewhere now becasue skullcandy jist can't get it right. Deciding between the xm4 xm5 and ult's for a set with decent bass and good anc. Haven't decided yet.
Why don't you talk about the fit all the features are nice but if the headphones are to loose its pointless

The crusher anc2 has a problem. I have owned 4 pair of skullcandy crushers and the best, by far ,are the crusher evo's.
I would suggest comparing the crusher evo instead of the anc 2's because as I stated the anc 2's do some really weird stuff.
Bottom line...bass heads will not find better (in 2024) than the crusher evo's.
I can agree that the anc on the skullcandy product is lacking.
If anc is your most important feature then Bose is the product you should be looking at.
Now...here is where I say something good about Sony.
If you want good sound,better than Bose. And aren't looking for bass head bass. And you still want anc that actually works. Of note...I suggest the crusher evo over the crusher anc and anc2 because the noise cancelation is so poor it isn't worth paying extra for.
As I was saying...the best all around headphones are the Sony 1000xm4. Lol...gotcha! The ultras are good too.

I bought the Crusher ANC 2 at a hefty discount based on the hype, and it. is. LAME. Super lame. It wasn't worth it even with the discount, and I got it basically free using holiday coupons. The sound quality is mediocre and muddy and that artificial haptic is obnoxious. Nauseating, even. The gimmick might be worth it for gaming, but even then there so much better options out there. It's super lousy, don't buy it please. I was considering the Sony Ult, but I think I've had just about enough of gimmicks, really.
