huh, the new ressource gatherers look like they come from the somtaaw side of the planning committee. previously the hiigaran engines had the bulky silos strapped to them.

Well. I am just hoping I my PC will be able to run the game with what it has. Some ships seem to have soom Taiidan influence. It would be cool if there will be in-universe explanations for the how and why the current hiigaran ships look.

Damn just like Star Wars their ships lack the necessary firepower to protect their asset which is the ship itself.
Good so far, but what about the larger warships like the Cruiser/Battlecruiser/Dreadnought class?

In general, I don't like the design of those ships, because there is no have original design ideas. Most of ideas are copy/paste ships from Desert of Kharak (which looks unnatural because it's an land design) or ships from HW2.
> Carrier is a changed copy of the final Gaalsien carrier from DOC (or enlarged Hiigaran interceptor from HW2)
> Incarnate Battlecruiser - reduced and modified version of Sajuuk
> Interceptor - modified Taidan Interceptor
> Attack Bomber - a copy of the DOK Fighter (Gunship)
> Resource Collector - simply modified model from HW2 Resource Controller
> Resource Controller - two attached to each other Resource Controllers from HW2
> If you look at the all frigate/destroyers bridges, then they are simply little vehicles bridges from DOC
Etc.. Developers are experiencing a clear shortage of ideas, their brain has not yet broken away from the deserts of Kharak
For someone who calls themselves homeworld2evolution389 you don't have a lot of appreciation for design evolutions... For me the ship designs look quite lot like they could have been designed on the basis of the Hiigaran ships from HW2 (with some influence from the more recent ships of EvE Online).

Roster looks like reused Homeworld 1 assets. Homeworld: Cataclysm had more variety, just saying...
