It would only make sense that the Falken would beat out the Morgan, seeing as the Falken is the successor in the ADF line and the Morgan was a prototype.

I think both have a sleek look but two different types of sleek.
The Morgan has a more utilitarian and rugged sleekness while the Falken has a futuristic and shiny sleekness. (The Raven being similar to the Falken.)

Those Belkan scientest from the 90's where the master race to be honest, it seems that the Falken is the best ADF model went it comes to performance, in second place is the Raven and in third place, the Morgan, although, the MPBM in AC7 is really a let down... However, went it comes to desings... the Morgan is the winner, that retro-futuristic vibe looks badass, it's like a SR-71 and Su-47 had one violent sex night and the result was this xD

I know that the planes has been balanced for multiplayer and stuff but, the mpbm is way too nerfed, the blast rádios and firing distance os too short .
That is what V2 is for.

I love the Falken so much. It looks like a 6th generation fighter. Heck I love that the canopy is armor instead of glass and the pilot sees the world through a set of monitors with cameras feed it real time footage. And of course a built in laser. Though the Morgan's got it's charm, being a sort of prototype for it and having the big laser screwed onto it's back.
Completely purpose built as the executive stealth fighter jet, designed for all engagements. I want to see that airframe really fly!
did you know that if you look at the Falken from the front in third person view as it switches to it's special weapon, you can see it *smile?*
The Falken was already a winner, just from that smile alone.

Well, those of us well versed in the series already knew the Falken was going to win this one.
It'd have been more interesting to compare it to the Raven, as the Raven is the newest one in the series, we should see how it compares to both its siblings.

Makes me cry seeing The Morgan nerf as heavily as it is. My second favorite original fighter with the Nosferatu being my favorite.
Damn, the MPBM got hit hard with the nerf.
Range, blast radius: too short. It's like a enhanced version of the SASMs and it cannot be fired while turning upside down.
It feels even less powerful than what the MPBM was in ACI, both visually & actual blast radius...

I would love to use the Original Falken used by Blaze and the Razgriz Squadron, Pixy's Morgan and the Wyvern in Ace Combat 4. What we got are just copies.

@@colorfulsouls4050 The QAAM in the old Wyvern neutralized Yellow Squadron for me quite quickly, the advanced version got EML, A Weapons officer and it's a little bit longer. Other than that?

Lore wise, this outcome makes perfect sense. First the Falken is a more advanced aircraft, being a direct evolution of the Morgan, with more powerful engines and more sophisticated systems. Second, in universe, the Morgan was built in 1994/95 meaning that by the time of the Lighthouse War, the Morgan is at least 24 years old and having already been a very complex piece of machinery probably hasn't seen the best maintenance over the past quarter century.
So, all the people screaming about how the Morgan is nerfed, just remember, this is *NOT* a factory fresh pristine aircraft, it is a quarter century old and likely been sitting in a hanger with only basic upkeep done on it, as well as here, being compared to its much more advanced successor.
I like how you included the lore on the in game aircraft as well. Like you said the Morgan’s probably been sitting somewhere likely dusting up.
@@Optimaloptimus The last time this aircraft flew in cannon, was an airshow in 2011 I think. That means its potentially been sitting in hanger for at least eight years and for up to fifteen years before that. Also, there were only two of these ever built, one was destroyed and the factory where it was built likely doesn't exist anymore either, so spare parts are going to be an issue too.
My Head-canon, is that the Morgan got sent to the boneyard years ago and wasn't flight worthy until Avril got her grubby, *grubby* hands on it and got it airworthy by cludging in a bunch of parts from other planes and just made it work through the power of ingenuity, ducktape and lots of swearing. As a result, its without doubt the single most advanced thing that Spare squadron have in their inventory, but its also potentially a death trap, which is why only Trigger will even touch the damned thing.

@@Optimaloptimus Also explains why the Morgan's weapon systems aren't as powerful as they used to be, since the Burst Missile was a very complex weapon that's been sitting in an ammo dump for 25 years, the TLS is a complex and *Fragile* weapon that hasn;t been properly maintained and the IEWS still works but is dealing with systems that are 25 years newer so it isn't an all powerful shield anymore. These weapons were all devastating back in 1995, when they were all brand new and had crack Belkan technicians working on them, but now they've been sitting in warehouses under tarps for a quarter century and been brought back into action by an angry (But sexy) mechanic with about half a tool box and a lot of duck tape

The ADFX 02 Morgan was a Technology demonstration (supposively).
While the ADF 01 Falken was a production base on what they learned from ADFX Morgan
Love the comparison video! You should do more of these especially with the SU's since they're so many of the same type. Maybe even do a comparison of parts to see if they really do make a difference. Sometimes I cant tell if the parts actually improve the plane

The MPBM is more powerful in Zero because it was the most advanced weapon at the time of 1995. Nowadays, with the advancements on aircraft technology, the original Morgan isn't as good as it used to be.
Avalos Altair Miraos but pixy’s morgan on the other hand is probably the best plane in all ace combat since although the falken was based of pf it and the crashed body of it was used there was barely anything to scavange only the engines and wing

Hell, I'd argue that the Zone of Endless prototype FALKEN is *THE* most powerful of the ADF units since it came with backwards firing, radar jamming (meaning you couldn't even detect it but it could still detect you) and, more importantly, Cipher and Pixy's battle data.

Kinda make sense that Falken is faster and more maneuverable with better tls. Wasnt ADFX-01 like the first advanced aircraft developed for Ace Combat. But still I prefer Morgan because its a classic with a great skin, big tls that looks quite badass and has more unique special weapons
The XFA-27 and ADF-01 Falken were the first superplanes introduced in the series (Ace Combat 2). Lorewise the ADFX-01 Morgan is the first superplane to be used in a conflict.

There's a weird artifact when you go into cockpit mode in the Falken. If the sun is in the right direction, you can see the shadow of the "cage" on your plane. The cage is not suppose to have shadows that show on the plane. It's a cockpit full of hexagonal screens and there should only be the dome of the cockpit that shows the shadows on the plane.
That's because the Falken uses the Connection For Flight Interface or COFFIN System. A system where a human can use an aircraft with their thoughts or body movements. Such aircraft do not feature glass canopies or front windows; instead, sensors on the aircraft's body transmit live pictures of its surroundings to either interior screens or the pilot's mind. So, in other words, it would allow you to pilot it with your mind while you can see outside the plane. As for why it is called a coffin...well one you can't see outside and two from what I can see there is no eject so if you're shot down, you're dead.
@@codysonic1 That's my point. SO this "cage" shadow shouldn't appear in the canard wings, when the light from the sun hits it in an angle. The way they simulated the screens in cockpit view was lazily done. In AC5 this wasn't the case, plus the screen looked better in AC5 cause you can see blurred edges where the screens intersect.

Man, I remember that fight against the Morgan back in AC Zero. I hated that dogfight on the hardest difficulty, but it was so satisfying when I finally beat it.
Falken might’ve won this comparison session, but not with any semblance of a wide margin regarding the Morgan.
I'm hoping they may add more planes in future DLC, in particular I'll like to see the Fenrir

The one big advantage for the MPBM is that it can also be used against air targets. It is basically a rocket propelled FAEB that that target both air and ground threats.
Honestly, I'm not surprised on which plane wins performance-wise. comparing the Morgan and the Falken is like comparing the performance of a Mk.V Supra and a Mk.IV Supra. But just like the Mk,IV Supra, the Morgan wins in my book for looking gorgeous and it is one of the few superplanes that you can theoretically build IRL and it will work.
It might be a flying MBPM in principle but it's about a 3rd of the actual power an MBPM has in-game.
Am I the only one who thinks the Falken also looks best? There's a beautiful practicality to parts of it's design which I just love.

Still, Cypher destroyed the Morgan so hard it got nerfed in 7, it's like nuking Nagasaki so much that San Francisco explodes.
That's what happens since the FALKEN is made to be Morgan's successor. Realistically, prototypes aren't as good as their successors. The only time this was an exception was when original FALKEN, which was *ASTRONOMICALLY* more powerful than the newer ones since it came with radar jamming, backwards firing and missiles as well as the Zone of Endless AI, which contained the battle data of Cipher and Pixy.
Falken uses the same laser from Excalibur.. but why did it used the zoisite laser in Ace combat infinity

The MPBM is reliable air to air and air to ground it’s so good
Forward facing wings in concept seem more aerodynamic but in reality the stress on the wings at high speeds is to much for the planes this becomes a hazard for pilots a beautiful design but to dangerous to pilot.
It's strangereal, they have the materials/resources available to allow these aircraft to fly. As well as having different physics.
Even the Trinity Missle from AC:AH has better impact than this Morgan, c'mon Project Aces

IEWS still is super useful, and the Morgan is insanely agile at high speeds. Plus, it has a very high durability.
So while on paper the Falken is better, the Morgan can still earn a spot as a Super Plane.

I expected these results since I played with both. Honestly the best thing about the Morgan is the IEWS. Other than that it gets about a 7/10. Not bad but also not that strong either.
Morgan wins in design, goigus. But they were designed and built some time from each other, meaning that the performance is different for a reason.

It's probably because of the low stability of the plane. Despite it being a Multi-Role
ADFX-01 and ADF-01. Typically the X in a military designation indicates an experimental and typically unfinished design. You can also infer this by how close to a standard jet the ADFX-01 is in terms of it's cockpit design, thrusters, interior electronics, HUD, and even having the laser mounted externally on the dorsal area of the aircraft. The ADF-01 by comparison is about as futuristic as you can get; interior computer and monitor system for near seamless visibility and HUD, sleek finished looking design, a more compact and efficient internal laser system, and just by the fact that it outperforms the ADFX-01 in pretty much every aspect with exception to stall speed.
It shouldn't be a surprise that the finished product is a direct upgrade to it's experimental design.

As to be expected since the Morgan is an older plane and the Falken was built off of the data gathered from the ADFX-02 wreck's flight data. The Falken can only be better but honestly the Morgan has more character, nostalgia and sex appeal so it's the clear winner in my eyes

Morgan appearance in ZERO - epic jousting (unless cheesed) fight accompanied by great ost good dialog AND V2. Falken as playable aircraft - soulless superplane with dry lore and top performance. Morgan as playable aircraft - full of sex with Pixy livery on top.
@@undeaddragon1158 not to mention that the one in Ace Combat 2 was a prototype without the TLS and had QAAMs, ECM, and probably FAEBs as it's special weapons. It also probably was more nimble due to losing the TLS making it look more sleeker.

@@rosspasse7847 Not really. Morgan is makeshift plane full of experimental tech - more like proof of concept. Raven is air defense fighter made for maintaining presence on battlefield and Falken is very big and heavy due to being built around TLS. Also futuristic or not - those wings on Wyvern are way more unrealistic than both Falken and Raven, so rule of cool make it better.
Eh, the Wyvern doesn't beat the Falken by that much. Also the Wyvern doesn't have FAEB's. However... I JUST WANT THE XFA-27 TO RETURN GOD DAMMIT! 😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭

They are 2 different air roles; the falken is a fighter , the morgan an attacker and in this game mpbm is nerfed like the tls in favor of a number of ammo.
Morgan is a multirole that was designed as a fighter.
@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 Yes, but in the fact morgan is equipped more like an attacker not a fighter and Its performance are on that line. In AC zero its stats was a bit different but if you look at its weapons is clear that it's not a dogfighter like falken. TLS is weaker than the falken's one and in air combat it's not so useful, mpbm can shoot down air target but they are designed more for ground attack cause their manuvrability skills. The adfx 02 of ac zero is another question. Plus in ac 7 there're some aircraft classified like "fighter " or "multirole" but in game their skills are different .

If you ask me, the Morgan is far more useful in multiplayer than the Falken, the Falken may be more agile and faster, but it's special weapon choice is kinda meh, the Morgan has the mpbm, which can reliably be shot at air targets, it has the tls just like the Falken does, and it has the iews, which is God tier at completely cancelling qaam spam and gives your team mates superpowers if you happen to be in tdm
