True. Instead of cowering in fear or breaking down emotionally knowing there was no escaping his death. He made sure the plans got through. He sacraficed himself to end the empires terror. Her reaction to Vader is one thing, but I love the way she goes from 1,000 to infinity when she sees the Tantive IV and realizes exactly what's going on. That's pure fan energy right there.
Exactly.
I remember thinking to myself as this was playing out, no fckign way! It couldnt be!?! Then when the door opens and you see her back my heart just stopped. Im not ashamed to admit it, I was 46 years old at the time and I shed more than just a couple of tears.

Leia: I'm on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan!
Vader: I literally almost boarded this ship 10 minutes ago... seriously?
this is good💀
Lmao she was trolling his so hardddd
Well... my country's police estimated that at least half the staff at the Russian embassy were actually GRU operatives. I don't know how the ratio is on my country's embassy in Moscow, but tbh I doubt it's much better. Leia is hardly the first to attempt to exploit protocol around diplomatic immunity for espionage.
But yeah, I guess she wasn't really expecting it to work... she was just stalling for time.
You weren’t on any mercy mission this time
and this is, why rogue one is a bullshit movie.
I love this movie, it has great action and dumb pew pew, and the corridor scene gives me chills.
But in the broader context of star wars this is bullshit and i hate it for this.
She just experienced every emotion known to man in about 3 minutes
And exuded every facial mannerism known to psychology within those 3 min

This girl’s emotions are absolutely perfect.
I am 53 years old. When I saw Rogue One in the theater…I really liked it. Until the end. Then, I loved it! I laughed, I cried (yeah, I admit it). Not just because of the movie…but what that ending did for me. It took me back to 1977, when I was 9 years old. And for that…I thank everyone involved in this film. I got to be 9 again.
Oh yes. There’s nothing sad to this scene but the emotions it creates in the span of minutes is astonishing. I bet the whole cinema was in tears of pure excitement and nostalgia after this, old or young.
Exactly. I saw the original Star Wars as a kid in 1977 and remember being in awe of it. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before, especially in the Science Fiction genre.
Rogue One captured everything I felt back then. Imagine if the original films had the CGI effects this film did. ANH and ESB would've been even more impactful than they already are.

I'm a 53 year old guy who saw the original in the theater in 1977, and this was pretty much MY reaction when I saw Rogue One. It is THE most underrated film in the saga, IMHO
I can't really say it is overrated or underrated because it isn't in the saga persay. It takes place just outside the confines of episode 4. But I feel you.
I still have a lot of things about which I am not certain how I feel, but this film is great. Not sure why anyone would flush its value.
In all the bickering about trilogy prequels and sequels, it's missed as the best Disney era Star Wars film and fits perfectly with the original trilogy. I also saw New Hope in '77 and saw this with my oldest friend who we used to play all of our Star Wars toys together as kids.
Both us were kinda shaking and brought back to how terrifying Vader was to our 5 year old selves. I don't think I've had a rush like that in a movie in a long time.
49 myself…ditto
Absolutely, one of my favorites
Your not wrong, the story builds up slowly and doges left and right and slowly open up the that amazing fight, and then closes with this pure perfection
Every time I watch this, I’m reminded not to be cynical about movies. The pure joy of this is a great reminder to be grateful for all the great content that’s been produced for us to experience. I love this video so much.
There's the moment she first sees the helmets on the soldiers at the beginning that she starts to suspect...and then when she sees the white hallway at the end and it clicks...we all shared that moment.

This movie was fantastic I don't care what anyone thinks. That ending was very emotional and epic.
Why couldn't the director of this movie make 7 and 8
Who says otherwise? Public oppinion is that Roug One was the best of the new films.
This movie was excellent .
Rogue One was great. Episode 7 was "ok" and Episode 8 was garbage. I didn't bother seeing Solo.
@@DrewPicklesTheDark Well, in my personal opinion
Rogue One was the best, TFA was pretty good, The Last was good, and Solo was ok with some stuff that I loved.
Solo overall was just ok, but certain things in the movie I loved, like Enfys Nest, and the train scene
I love how she quite accidentially but also somehow accurately hits the high note in the soundtrack ^^
I remember first viewing this movie in a packed theatre and @0:49 happened.
The moment I seen that lightsaber, I yelled out loud "RUN YOU FUCKS"
Literally half a second later, everyone gasped, went bonkers, screamed and the theater was so fucking loud with cheers. At that moment, everyone was filled with adrenaline, shock, awe, and it was one of the best movie theatre experiences ever.
when they yelled "OPEN FIRE!"
I heard Newt from Aliens... "it won't make any difference"
When the Star Wars Special Edition came out the theater was packed and everyone was having a blast. This was '97, before the prequels. It was a Star Wars movie on the big screen for the first time in almost 15 years being shared by hundreds of people at once, and it was great (even with the unnecessary changes).
But kind of like your "Run you fucks", when Obi-wan tells Luke about Vader and says "He betrayed and murdered your father”, I couldn't help myself and just did the *cough*bullshit*cough* thing.
I was embarrassed it slipped out but the whole theater lost it laughing.
Bruh you sound annoying as fuck to watch a movie with. You’re really screaming at the movie in a packed theater? Whys it always the ghetto ppl too?

When I first introduced my wife to Star Wars I started with the prequel trilogy knowing that she would at the very least like the love story and she liked Hayden, the other reason was that Vader’s redemption at the end is more meaningful if you see his fall first. I watched it the other way around and always thought it kinda ruined it because you know what happens. Now having said that I saved this film for last because the emotional impact the final half hour brings is brilliantly done. I remember my wife being upset as everyone was killed but then realized as the plans where handed off and the ship drops knowing who’s ship it is and the overall meaning she was crying but kept saying “it wasn’t for nothing”
I've never actually tried it, because.... well... you can't really unwatch something. But I've always wanted to try the 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6 order (sometimes skipping 1 entirely, though I disagree). The point being that you get the dramatic reveals and see Vader as a bad guy, then you learn who he is, get his back story, and then finish on a redemption arc and a "true" ending to the story. i.e. best of both worlds.
It's an interesting idea though. You kind of give up on the idea of finishing an entire story arc in one go, and instead inject the prequels into the middle of the story.
(Also, I do recognise this is 3 months old this comment)
Damn, saving his redemption arc for last, after a grueling grieve filled trip down memory lane. That's actually a pretty interesting idea.
It's too bad that I've got such an ingrained idea and opinion of the prequels and OGs that I really can't shake my feelings about them easily anymore.

Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie Disney has produced.
Rogue one was very clever. It makes the Death Stars fatal error perfectly understandable now and it also shows how episode 4 began very nicely
Yes, it improved the story which was relatively poorly made back then.I askey myself where the fuck a deadly leak in a multitrillion project would come from(i suspectrd it was plot armor), but now it makes more sense. They made a whole movie just to eliminate the plot armor feeling.
And also show us why the empire is so bad. We don't know it like it is just bad. They showed us that "work camp" too.
@@katreinermartin8731 It has its own "morals" which are just like the ones of any sith: Doing anything to get bigger, to get more powerful at any cost.
Unlike the sequel trilogy, Rogue one contributed and tied into the existing story/lore without trying to ruin, deny or remove it.
This is why I miss these Anthology films. Because they are built on great ideas, just don’t go too much rewriting the past. If future movies weren’t canceled, we wouldn’t have gotten The Mandalorian, which is worth it.
I like that she was so emotional that she was barely able to speak.

Ormi Ader let me put it to you this way my best friends fiancée was the same way, she was crying the whole time..she couldn't contain herself.. However after the movie was done she made a comment.. She said that if they had blood anywhere (for the Vader scene) it would have been something STRAIGHT out of a horror film. That's just how intense it was for her at the time, and she said the Vader scene freaked her out the most
Tell her that it's even worse because Vader was holding that door with force, notice that it opens when he stabs him? He was using force fear and he got stronger when it got instilled into everyone of "you're going to die here, nothing you can do about it."
Dude no kidding, I had the same reaction even with tears.
This is how I want people to react when I show them anything I'm interested in
I am so glad this exists. It has brought me such happiness!
I love how the guy at the end said "TAKE IT" is showing real fear and not be like unrealistic movie heroic moment and straight away just give it to the guy on the other side and said "Take this and save the galaxy". They show the true horror of him trying to save his life first when he know he's doom, he accepted his fate and just "TAKE IT!!"
Agreed
Perfect description of his last moment of life.
It's so real. He knows he's gonna die. You can see it in his face and hear it in his voice. He's terrified.
But he is not gonna die for nothing. His death is gonna mean something. He has a mission to accomplish.
That is what real courage looks like. Pissing your pants scared, but doing what needs to be done anyhow.
Thank you! That's the problem with a lot of movie scripts nowadays. We are fully capable of understanding the gravity of sacrifice without it being spelled out for us in crayon.
As evil as Vader was, he supposedly respected courage and determination. That's why he gave that guy a quick and clean death by stabbing him through the heart, as opposed to crushing his windpipe or slamming him against the ceiling and bisecting him.

Office Desk because you see the emotion we all felt when seeing it for the first time on her face.
Same, bro. Same.
Same here man. Instantly brings me back to the cinema, watching this for the first time. EPIC scene!
same here bro full of emotion.
I cried, showed it to my wife, she cried and we've seen RO at least a dozen times lol. Nostalgia is like a volcano.
I find myself coming back to watch this reaction vid a few times every month. And it makes me tear up with joy Every. Damn. Time.
Same, brother!
Same.
Same here.
Same bro

Ive seen this movie countless times but reaction videos like this with someone who freaks out like i did the first time, makes me feel like im back watching it for the first time again.
0:26 is where the dots start connecting and my goosbumps start
1:39 is the cry of a true fan
I think that’s what we all felt. Especially those of us who’ve been there from the beginning.
My movie theater had everyone literally on the edge of their seats by the start of this scene. Nobody was reclined and everyone just started laughing and cheering as Vader cut into the rebels. Absolutely wild experience
Interesting. I’ve seen clips of cinemas in America and it has always baffled me. In Finland if someone coughs during a movie people get annoyed, let alone the entire cinema cheering and laughing. here we just shut the fuck up and enjoy the movie :D
Though admittedly with this scene it was VERY hard to contain my happiness and excitement
@@topiheimola69 most of the time it is quiet, but some things like that are just shared experiences. It reminds me of the collective stillness from episode 2 when Yoda was about to fight Dooku and it was the first time seeing him fight.
@@topiheimola69 With almost every big movie franchise (Marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc...) It's a lot more common now in the US to hear fans cheering when their favorite character shows up on the big screen.
@@shadowscall7758 I remember the Yoda fight.. the entire theater went nuts!
legend has it she passed out watching the mandalorian season 2 finale.....
RIP
She did, all star wars fans did,
glory to star wars
Glory to luke
Glory to the chosen one
@@asliceofcheese7152 Glory!
Legit this was me, my dad and uncles in the cinema at this scene. No movie scene has ever given me such a feeling.
1:48 I love how her scream is perfectly on pitch with the music 😂
If you would have filmed me at this moment, it would have been identical to this. Only exception would be you would have been watching some ugly guy
david hamilton lol I am to ugly to show my face in front of 5 people
david hamilton ya when i watched the darth vader scene in the theater i was like choke crying so i didnt even get to watch
don't worry man, you are a real fan, she is fake as shit. Why the f*ck she didn't watched the movie at theaters?! I don't buy that.
Moisés Briseño Estrello I didn't .-.
Moisés Briseño Estrello
because some people cant? or cannot afford to go
there's literally websites that has free movies
Whatever else happens, the last few minutes of the movie are worth every penny of the budget
you mean when DV grabs some random dudes and throws them around instead of grabbing the f...ing disc 10 feet ahead of him, or at least grabbing the guy holding the disc and pull him in with it.. but no, because f...ck logic. At that point I was already laughing so hard at all the stupidity in the movie it didnt really matter.
Why would Darth Vader think the plans are on the disc? He didn't see them be downloaded onto it, all he knew is that they were on the ship and he would have to find them.
kombatres aah yes, good logice there. grab the guy with the disk and let the others shoot fuck out of him. good plan
He used the force, duh... He's a space wizard capable of precognition, that's literally in the job description.
kombatres You're an idiot. He couldn't have known which specific rebel had the plans. Besides, he was being shot at by multiple people. He is powerful, but even he has to protect himself. He can't do 10000 things at once, you know? And tell me, what exactly was so stupid about this movie? The fact that pretty much all main characters died? Because that was actually really refreshing for Star Wars. This movie was made as extra information on how the rebels got the plans. The phrace "Many Bothans died to bring us this information" has meaning now. It just adds to the already existing story. I thought it was great! So again, tell me what was so "stupid" about the movie.
Rogue One is, at least to me, the best thing Disney has done with SW since they started making content for it. It feels like a genuine attempt to add more to the franchise while also being well written and just fun to watch on top of that.
Probably one of the best uses of a villain in recent history, they threw us into the victims views for once and it hit so hard.
That ending scene was the closest anyone ever has or ever will come to matching the feeling you got when you saw ANH ending for the first time.
Every Rebel in that hallway, had phenomenal acting. There are no small parts. I also love how she immediately understood that the end of Rogue One was the beginning of A New Hope
I like how the ship has a giant lever in the hallway that anybody walking by can just pull on to detach the ship from its mooring.
The best reaction video yet. The sweet young lady makes me cry and laugh with her at the same time. I don't know her name but I've seen this video numerous times in the last 4 years and I keep coming back because she is a true fan and we all love her for that. Especially when she says I could die happy now.
When you watch this and Empire, it kinda makes you realize that the fans just wanna see Vader kill people
But in an uplifting way that leaves a tiny bit of possibility of hope.
The Empire did nothing wrong
@@tylerdurden4608 Well... they did destroy an entire planet, with billions of humans. That's not exactly a charitable act...

Ah yes, because criticism = not a real fan
Admit it she is how we all would be if we saw this for the first time again

This. This is what Star Wars is all about.
Yeah, they knew how to set up story to make you fell in one way despite, that you knew fully well how they end
