いよいよ本格的に暑くなり、我が家でもすでにいくつかの樹種で水切れで葉焼けをしています。
その中でもエゾマツの葉焼けは毎年のことで、灌水はしていても、木が水を吸い上げるよりも先に葉が焼けてしまうようです。
事前に剪定しておけば、良いことなんですけどね。
毎年葉が焼けてから、慌てて剪定しています。
さらに今回は、うっかり五葉松のミニ盆栽も水切れで葉が焼けてしまいましたよ。
全ての樹種で、夏用の対策を取れればいいのですが、なかなか思い通りに作業は進まず、いつも後手になってしまいます。
特に、エゾマツと五葉松などの高山系の植物には注意が必要ですね。
今回は、慌てての剪定作業で暑さ対策しています。

In my garden, some tree species are already suffering from leaf scorch due to lack of water.
Among them, Yezo spruce had burnt leaves as usual.
Even with plenty of water, they seem to burn their leaves before they can soak up water.
I had to prune them beforehand, but I didn't as usual.
In addition, I mistakenly drained the mini bonsai of Goyomatsu too.
It would be nice if I could take measures in advance for summer for all tree species, but the work is not going well.
In particular, caution is required for alpine plants such as Yezo spruce and Goyomatsu.
This time, I am taking countermeasures against the heat by pruning in a hurry.
