As a musician myself, I find that the hardest parts of playing to large crowds… is finding a large crowd that wants to hear me play. It’s hard to have stagefright when there’s 2 people in the audience 😢😂 joking aside… these tips are brilliant, as usual.
I used to have so much severe breakdowns because of stage fright and it is horrible how it never goes away.. it really sucks.. i have had so much issues with it and I have came to at least be able to handle myself better than in the past,.. I used to get horrible panic attacks and id go on shaking for a while, racing heart, feeling like I was dying and going to pass out, etc.. At lease that hasn’t happened in a while which is good, and I have gotten used to it a little,.. although I still sometimes get a bit nervous but it’s not as severe as in the past,. I had a couple of times recently where I would have false starts but id be ok after a minute and be able to get back, so it’s definitely better than what I have had in the past
The psychology of performance is fascinating. No two shows are the same, each provides a lesson, so the only thing I would add is to accept every opportunity to perform.
Learn, Practice, Rehearse, Perform, then Post to Social Media!
Agree. Although even experienced performers can get nervous before performances, experience is one of the best ways to learn to deal with it.
I picked up 2 instruments a couple of months ago to combat depression, and I always find it hard to perform during recitals and orchestra performances. I appreciate you for providing me new methods to deal with my stage fright. Great video.
Nice video. I wish i had this video 3 days ago before my debate.
Oh no! Hope it helps for next time!
Ahh damn these tips sound absolutely brilliant, throughout the video this reminded me of the book Atomic Habits.
I feel like once I get onstage, I suddenly get into fight-or-flight mode and my mouth gets so dry that I cannot sing anymore, but the simulation experience sounds like a great thing to try and practice beforehand, so thank you!
You are a great sub teacher last year
Woah this is actually a perfect timing!!! LIKE, for a day or two, I was finding some tips to conquer my stage fright cause bruh I can't get to calm myself down when I am in front of the stage... This is perfect for me to practice my presentation project next week! 🤩✨

laughing at 1:40 because i had to perform 5 times in assembly for the school, once everyday of the week, and the mistakes only got worse! (these mistakes were definitely due to stage fright as i have been practising the piece i played for like 6 months and performed before to a variety of audience sizes and different locations… but for some reason that one week so shit😢)
YAAAAAAAAUS!!! Nailed the vid ! Up top bro ✋✋✋✋
🤚🏻🤚🏻🤚🏻🤚🏻
Thank you, this came at such a good time, i have a presentation in 2 days i want to do my best on
It's terrifying that you have a section on drugs, it's terrifying that it's common enough in performance for you to talk about them
I thought i was being smart, cheating the system, thank you, I may consider therapy and maybe a real doctor, for both mental and physical issues, thank you so much for the advice, i love your youtube channel, so much good information with such neat organized visuals, it all must take so much effort i hope you know it's appreciated
I am very good at my instrument, however, I have never had a desire to perform. I just enjoy playing my instrument. Family and friends constantly urge me to perform. There is no desire to be the focus of criticism or praise. I just like the challenge of the instrument and as a source of meditation. If learning a musical instrument was to ultimately strive to perform on a stage as a circus animal for their intertainment, I would never have studied music. Some call me selfish for not sharing my abilities, I just don't care for the " lime light", whereas some do nothing else but dream and strive for it. This attitude is founded in being forced as a child to practice to perform, especially music I did not like to hear.
That’s fair! But music generally is a performative and collaborative art form. Art in general is. Would you consider playing in a band? Spread the attention around?
You’re not selfish at all. Art is still individualized to a degree. You have created a music world for yourself where you can find emotional meaning. Finding your ownemotional meaning is the most important thing in music.
