How sweet this is! Thanks for putting this up for us. Tom & Jerry had been the 7:30pm show but moved to 5:30pm to accommodate the premiere of PM Magazine the following Monday. For the first year it was on, Bowling For Dollars ran weeknights at seven followed by The Joker's Wild.
I lived in Brooklyn (NYC) a year or so before this; that same BfD at 7pm / TJW at 7:30pm pattern was observed on Channel 9 with Larry Kenney hosting the show from the bowling alley at Madison Square Garden.
RIP Dick Goddard and Joe Tait In addition, upcoming promos during the end credits and at the end of the infamous ill faded Noontime show (hosted by future “PM Magazine” hostess Jan Jones and Mike Keen) promo was former TV-8 fill in announcer, Phil Thomas.

Greatest show ever on broadcast TV!
When you bowl, start holding your ball in line with your arm, not in front of your tummy and bend over a bit at the line and stay down.
MAAAAAN! The memories....😊
The good old days
I wish this was back on TV now that they've got all the old shows up❤
I remember watching this every night with my uncle vinny
Thank you so much! This is wonderful to see. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else you upload. :)
More cleveland based tv coming
3:42 - This announcer is Fred Foy, the "Lone Ranger" announcer.
I am looking for the Bowling for Dollars show hosted by Chick Hearn.
The first contestant was Rodney Dangerfield.
would you have any other full ot partial episodes?
This is the only one I have so far, but I still have many tapes that I haven't viewed yet that could have more episodes.
@@staytunedforgottentvmedia6417 hows it going? any more luck on finding any more complete or partial episodes?
@@toddakslabd3046 That is likely the only one
@@staytunedforgottentvmedia6417 do you have others like you who restore or transfer old tapes to youtube?
@@toddakslabd3046 Not sure I understand the question. There are others who digitize vhs tapes and upload them to youtube and other websites
RIP Dick Goddard and Joe Tait
Great. Please find old tribe broadcasts!!!
What bowling center was this filmed in?
Old Parmatown Lanes.
At 28:38 the credits say that it was video taped in the studios of WJKW-TV Cleveland.
0:17 Since 2022, they are now called the “Cleveland Guardians.”
I still think of them as the Cleveland Indians.
Me too!
Well, just thank God they're still the Braves.
@@SammyReed-cd4cu I wish Atlanta renamed their team to the Stripers or the Strikers.
Be honest ... am I loser for loving to watch old Bowlin' fer dollas?
that first guy liked em young
People in Cleveland, were horrible bowlers back in the day.
