Between this and midwinters painting tutorial, im way too tempted to start a killteam of these guys
That paint guide from the midwinter minis video was great
I painted some ultramarines up recently working on a large force, mine are pretty dark compared to those guys versions.
I can just vaguely hear Shia in the distance shouting JUST DO IT and I'm gonna have to agree.
And yeah I feel you dude. I'm waiting for whatever they're supposed to release for Kill Team before I get hardcore into it (since we're still in the pandemic and I sadly don't have time for gaming because of it, work, and baby lol) but yeah I feel you. Guy's painting guide is so awesome. Although if I did it I'd go for the green trim of the 4th Company instead of the gold for the 1st.
Because Uriel Ventris is awesome.
@@madmanvarietyshow9605 Gold trim is the 2nd company. The 1st has white.
I'm going with the traditional 2nd company gold for my Ultras. I considered going with the 3rd company's red, but then decided that I'd make all the solid adornments gold, including the trim, and I'd introduce some of that red into the softer bits, like the tabards, which usually are a dirty white for Ultramarines.
@@CyberDagger003 ope yeah you're right. I forgot that 2nd is Cato Sicarius' dudes and Cato is always in gold.
Do this for every chapter with the liber daemonica parts, they look so good.
Would be really great to see you do another ultramarines conversion now that you are also detailing your painting process! Would love to see how you get your blue armor
It would be cool to see a 3rd party conversation of each first founding chapter! Especially to see what components are out there! Love all your conversions!
That's a great idea!
Could we by any chance see a Cadian Veteran conversion for Imperial Guard?
Man, I've been looking at these heads for a hot minute. For a moment I thought this was a different seller or a caster, but I checked and they're legit. I've been considering grabbing a set of their Temple heads from ScaleBro to make some homemade Bladeguard Veterans for a custom chapter, and seeing how their stuff looks here makes me confident it'd come out great!
Pretty cool custom Space Marine Veteran.
Can you do one of these for the dark angels? PLEASE
Can you create a Dark Angel that leans into the midieval knight part of their aesthetic?
Thanks for your conversions and your time.
love this making the first founders look like they should. unique. leaning into their great inspirations.
Looks fantastic!
I think GW does the Ultramarines a real disservice by not playing into the Roman Aesthetic more instead of trying to make them the most generic Chapter possible. They can still be codex exemplars AND have a distinct visual character besides the hue of their power armour. Anyway, really great job Pete 👍🏾 Question: how was the delivery time for Liber Daemonica? I have been considering grabbing some of their stuff, but I am not the most patient hobbyist and a new idea could overtake me if the delivery takes weeks to arrive
The 30k ultramarines were awesome while the 40k ones are just book loving smurfs hopefully GW changes that
For some inane reason, despite having a Roman-themed chapter and being aware of it, Games Workshop decided to make pteruges, laurel wreaths and helmet crests generic Space Marine adornments. How can the Ultramarines stand out as Space Romans when you give the Roman shit to everyone?
I loved the 13th ever since reading their heresy books but always hated the Primaris units for being too tactical and generic. Only once I got a 3d printer and had a bunch of parts from other kits to add on did I finally start making some Ultramarines.
Great looking result!
Another great conversion project. Luvin the headress. Great work all round
Brilliant once more.
He looks great! I actually stumbled upon that website myself the other day. So many nice pieces!
Stunning.
this is a great bloody video cos with a little bit of creativity you can substitute out the parts and make basically any chapter using the template
Would love to see a Mordant Acid Dogs conversion for the Imperial Guard!
I like the music you use for the vids. Always so chill
I ordered raptor shoulders from Liber Daemonica , it was worth the wait honestly theses guys make amazing sculpts
Those shoulders are real nice
Very nice mate.
Had never seen this website before, really like the look of some of thier items!
I may not play Blueberries, but if I were converting one of these guys I think I'd like to add a little green stuff horse shoe surrounding the skull on the chest. Think Captain Titus, the best Blubie.
What a great video, very useful and interesting...thank you. I have subscribed as a result. Nice job!
Idea: making a space marine character with 2 or so kits and lego pieces. I.e a blood angels chaplains with jump pack (the one with wings) with an assault intercessor a vital skulls set and lego wings (maybe from a lego "Chima" set)
I would like to see you attempt to make a thunder warrior I think you would enjoy a change of pace
Really useful thanks, I have a few forge worlds parts that I'm going to do something similar with
Great Job Brother Ultramarine
Would it be possible to see a conversion for Night Lords inspired Loyalist marines?
PRAISE BITZBOX OUR LORD AND SAVIOR
Is that a Jeremy Beadle primaris?
Nah, looks great!
That third party is _so_ good. Definately buying from them.
Kitbashing Primaris Pedro Kantor next please.
Be interesting to see your take on doing things like alpha legion plague marines or iron warrior berserkers etc.
Third party minis are the best!!
gorgeous
awesome
*Imperium Secundus intensifies*
You should do some more veteran conversions. I suggest DA next
Brilliant conversion for my first ever army. Always loved the Ultramarines but more 30k era due to more personality of the marines and not just generic marines. 😀
I've used thus for my deathwatch. Did it for one of my sergeants but felt the old marines hands were small. Felt like mini me had prepped his gauntlet armour for that skirmish 😁 yours looks good tho 😉
What I imagine an Assault Veteran might look like after crossing the Rubicon.
So I just visited the LD site and the dred parts look very tempting!
Have you ever considered doing the exact opposite of this vid (aka, using third party for the torso/legs) - to help use up extra parts of the bits box?
Thanks for the ideas mate! Keep up the amazing kitbashes.
Liber Daemonica is so cool! I used their Taurus helmets for my squad of veteran 30k World Eaters.
They are fantastically detailed components.
Can you kitbash a Raven Guard team? I'd love to see some serious beakiness and feathers going on.
Please do a primaris Pedro Kantor. I’m begging you.
Howling Griffons!
Great job! just a heads up for the next project:
the square patterns on the left pauldron is usually seen more in ancient Greece than Rome. A small but important detail.
I've seen them featured quite a bit in both, take these for example:
irisharchaeology.ie/2017/04/beautiful-roman-mosaic-uncovered-in-france/
@@PeteTheWargamer Pretty cool. I myself relate that to Greece since i have seen it most there.
It being used by Rome makes your combo much better 👌👌
@@yvindlavold5741 yeh I did too at first until I did a little more digging. It seems to be a feature that is common in Classical architecture and design.
You could def use this as a Horus heresy praetor
Hey pete ive been thinking of doing it myself but have you considered converting marneus calgar into a chaptermaster of like a blood angels successor. Like a custom gravis captain.
Do you think you could try making a gravis chaplain or a gravis librarian please. Good job on another great conversion!
5:09 hes got that jotaro pointing stance
Pedro Kantor lets go
Really cool conversion as allways. I also really like your paint job. What gold color are you using?
What makes different the recine parts of the plastic parts? People seem to prefer the plastic ones
do you have any suggestions for dead animal bits STLs or other third party suggestions?
What was the paint scheme that you used to paint him? He doesn’t seem as purple as the paint scheme you showed in your ultramarine video
Wowowowow
Im just waiting for the blade guard kit so i can build my chapter master some honourguard
What do you do with all your converted stuff do you sell it or have it on a shelf if it’s all on a shelf you should do a short video showing all the different ones you’ve done
I know it’s an old video and chances are low, but still, what colors was used for blue armour? Really like this colder tone
Hi ! What a great job! I try to find it with the link u wrote in bio but don't find. Where did u buy Loin cloth plz ? (Same in the Minotaurs conversion video).
It was taken from the MkIV Space Marine kit
Liberdemonica bitz looks vert good, but are so expensive oO
Ordered myself some sweet bitz from Liber Daemonica. Will I need to wash them before painting? (being as they're made of resin)
They come pretty clean already and I did a test with no problems. But just in case, I'd recommend still giving them a quick scrub
Have you thought about making your own plague marines?
If you guys want to do it with only plastic bits then The Ultramarine upgrade kit(not The primaris one) is what you are looking for
Any recommendations for 3rd party primaries night lords?
I saw the noctis on the site but if there is any others, that would be great. Sorry if I’m asking too much
PRIMARIS VULKAN HESTAN
Is there any chance you try some Eldar conversions? I would gladly see a Eldar sniper since the the Rangers are still resin and look really dated
Ive got some eldar stuff planned. They're way out of my comfort zone so I'm just building up the courage to tackle them 😂
Roma Invicta!
Is Liber Daemonica reliable?
The link to the page with the bits (Liber Daemonica) doesn’t work.
This one? www.bitzbox.co.uk/
It worked for me, odd
Liber Daemonica link doesn’t work
Wth happened to LiberDaemonica.com? I can only see the Barabas helmets now in the shop.
@ your mini, another awesome job, not only your conversions althought the paint jobs are great.
Okay. Genuine question. Why dont you show the painting of these guys? I'd love to see that, even if it was cut down short.
Love your work, mate!
That is because this was a Conversion video, rather than a paint tutorial. He usually does those separately. Check his video list and you can see if he has posted one for this model 😁👍🏾
Did they ship worldwide?
Yes, I believe so.
He said insult intercessor😂😂😂😂
I know I'm in no position to critique someone's paint job but: that blue seems a little bright for Ultramarines.
Arr they are sealed scrolls I thought they were nunchucks.
I could listen to you read a phone book
Thunder warriors PLS
This is one of the reasons as an Ultramarines player I would like less limelight so we can embrace the character of the chapter and stop being portrayed boringly.
Amen, brother. I chose Ultramarines as my chapter in part out of a challenge to make them more memorable. I actually was already eyeing these Liber Daemonica parts. Styling captains after centurions and lieutenants after optios seemed like an obvious step to take, and those fancy crested helmets I feel will suit the Indomitus guys swimmingly. The one with the eagle face plate and the one with the mask I feel would also fit standard bearers and champions, respectively.
I don't see how the ultramarines have a Roman aesthetic a chapter better fitting of that are the minotaurs, I see the ultramarines as have bland power armour matching their conformity
If you check out the 30K Ultramarines, you will see that the Roman Aesthetic was a big part of their character. Unfortunately by the time we reach the 40k time period, the Ultramarines devolved a bit to the most generic Codex Astartes exemplars they could be, with GW using them like a blank canvas to show off new models. If they embraced the Roman styling more, I think it would make them 20x more interesting
I love the Roman aesthetic of the Ultramarines, too bad they're super bland usually
first
I bag fifth
I know you get a lot of requests in the comments, but I was wondering if you might be willing to do the Tome Keepers? Brand new white dwarf chapter and they seem pretty cool. It might be a nice chance to practice writing and stuff too.
