Useful project, with easily available parts. Easy attaching and detaching is nice for those who don't own trailers themselves, but have to use rented or borrowed trailers. If this was made permanent, power could be taken from the reversing light. But all things considered, I think your solution is perfect. When the sensor is only attached when needed, it won't gather dirt or ice, which would affect it's performance.

I really like the idea of having the sensor and transmitter in a box that is attached with magnets. A phase 2 for this project may be to obtain power via the backlight on the trailer. Modern trailers with a 13-pin connector support a rear light when the car is reversed. But you must then have a converter from 12 volts to 5 volts. Then you could mount one or more sensors on the trailer.
They never uploaded it. But The channel called studentbuilds uploaded code that is pretty much identical with beeping too. Check them and copy and paste.
Hi great project. I have like many out there, am making a parking assistant, Doing the ultrasonic sensor part is not so much of the challenge because there is so much help out there. But interfacing it with the NRF24L01 module is the problem there is not help anywhere for this, and i have looked, and this is the only site i have come across that does it the way you guys have done. I have looked at the OneWire and the RadioHead library for help and not much on that. Would it be possible if you can post the code please. Will greatly appreciate it.

Improvements, draw power directly from the trailer. Activate the buzzer when in reverse.
