Edens Zero is on track to having an excellent soundtrack. Already starting off excellent with Takanori Nishikawa (T.M Revolution) now they’ve gone and topped it for me with L’Arc~en~Ciel, which I know everyone didn’t see coming after 10 years of no anime appearances. Endings also have some notable artists: CHiCO with HoneyWorks have done excellent work for Ao Haru Ride, Magic Kaito and Gintama among other series while Sayuri has appeared in FATE Extra Last Encore, Erased and MHA to name a few. Wonder who they’ll choose for season 2?

Lately they’ve been a little TOO techno for my taste (which is a shame because I like their older stuff). They might work in the Ending category here, it would fit the theme of the more modern sound the show has been going for Endings wise. Still, my bar is pretty low though after hearing “Namely” in Seven Deadly Sins though. I’d be game if they bring out something similar to “Core Pride”, “D-TecnoLife”, “Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi”, etc.
Yes, it's completely different than most shonen arcs, where all shonen mc gives postive,never give up vibes no matter what the pain,this arc truly shows what it means to give up,lose completely and despair
I like this opening I think it’s both wholesome and action packed at the same time I also love all the foreshadowing for the sun jewel arc, and I really love that Drakken Joe is in this opening because he is my favorite villain in the series so far. I’m super hyped for episode 17 because in episode 17 next Sunday because that’s when he makes his proper debut. I’m so hyped I can’t wait to see him and hear his voice it’s going to awesome I’m totally going to geek out when he makes his debut. Also while I do like this opening I do like Eden through the rough better because it’s more upbeat (also I check the chapters that were animated in 16 so Drakken Joe doesn’t make his debut until 17 my bad, but I’m still hyped to see him)
Even the characters look similiar with Fairy Tail (because the same mangaka art style - Hiro Mashima. But the story is really different. I guarantee you will love this AMAZING SERIES so much!!!

And Elsie and erza are different,Elsie is a space pirate,and erza is a proud warrior of fairy tail guild who will never resort to things like robbing Erza's relationship with jellal and Elsie with justice is similar but different again. Erza and jellal were prisoners of tower of heaven while justice (James)and Elsie were of royal family and it was shown that jellal was evil because of manipulation or possession but here elsie is shown in the bad side because of geniune reasons and not that anyone was possessed. The only reason is that,elsie was blamed for the destruction of their planet,for some reason
more than a year later and I thought the hype of this song would've died down but now I can say it without any doubt: "FOREVER" by L'arc~en~ciel is one of the best opening songs for any show I have watched in my life, and it might be my favorite song by L'arc.
I don't care about what some weirdos say, I love every Hiro Mashima manga/anime. The western entertainment industry sucks and his works are like an oasis in the desert for me.
If there's one thing I complain about Hiro Mashima works (other than those head veins, I _hate_ 'em!) is that he appear to outnumber more female characters than the males. The fact that Ziggy made the Stars to be all female very much grinded my gears.
I like this one the most, his story keeps improving in term of world building and story pace, though he still recycles his own character design and personality
Yea, despite the bashing on the last few arcs of FT and other faults, I still enjoyed the manga overall which is why I continue FT 100 Years Quest. The author is virtually identical with his artwork to Hiro and the story is not bad. Edens Zero brings in some nice dark spots and topics as well.

Gotta say as a fellow Fairy tail watcher i do like this anime a lot.It's an awesome idea to keep character designs same,a little change of course,as well as keeping same voice actors for identical characters.i love how Erza Scarlet turned out to be Elsie Crimson in this series.Lovely story,following friendship again of course,Fairy tail was about fighting for friends and making friends with people who were once you enemies.But here it's about spreading friendship and be friends with others,what matter you are.Also is it only to me that Hermit looks exactly like Hatsune Miku?
A lot of Japanese manga have done similar things, from Time Bokan's constant reimaginings of the villain trio to Jojo having descendants or similar characters play a similar role in future parts.

This is all I was trying to find when I searched "edens zero opening 2" but of course I had to find a scene in the last episode of made in abyss 1st and I am scarred for life.
I watched this recently, and I can say this anime is better than I expected. I watched a few arcs of Fairy Tail back in the day before dropping it because I thought it didn't have enough of an overall story/progression. Edens Zero is definitely a big upgrade on that part, while retaining things I liked about FT, like the fast pacing and humor. It's fun to watch. I also love the ship crew aspect of it, which is always a plus as a fan of One Piece. I also like that they're not afraid of using darker themes in the story.
