4 Ingredient Moisturizing & Repairing Hair Mask for Dry/Damaged Hair |

In this DIY video, I'll be sharing an easy and effective hair mask recipe that my curls absolutely love. As you may know, curly hair tends to be dry and heat styling can strip it of even more moisture. That's why I use this dense, moisturizing and repairing hair mask on a regular basis. It's made with just four simple ingredients:
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of yogurt
2 tablespoons of coconut oil (or any oil of your choice)
1 teaspoon of honey
To use, simply mix all the ingredients together and apply the mask to the mid-lengths and ends of clean hair. Leave it in for 15 minutes before rinsing it out and following up with your usual shampoo and conditioner. Your hair will feel incredibly soft, smooth, and moisturized after just one use!

SAME HERE ! Oh my gosh lifesaver . I dyed my hair before my cousins wedding . My hair was so frizzy and dammaged . I havent been abole to run my fingers through my hair for over a month ! So i applied it today. I have thick, frizzy, and semi curly hair (not too curly but not straight either. Its a mess).
I used all the ingredients same as instructed except for the oil, i used Emami 7 Oils in One. I kept it on for little bit more than an hour ( i actually forgot i had it on my head until i suddenly smelled it lol). Rinsed it with cold water at first ( i cant use hot/warm water on my head. it gives me headache), shampooed once and then conditioned my hair.
Result: my hair feels very soft and slippery. It added lots of shine and took away a lot of friz from the hair. I cant smell anything due to the oil which has a strong scent that the shampoo couldnt even lift. So its all positive and i recommend it.
I've got the exact same hair type so fingers crossed it'll give me similar results 🤞
Did all the product come out by shampooing once??

I came back from the hairdresser's today with a beautiful new colour, but whilst curling my hair she'd left the straighteners on too long and frazzled the ends of my hair. I thought it was irreparable and that I'd need to get at least 2 inches cut off. Before panicking and going to the salon tomorrow, I decided to see what I could find online and i found this. I left this mask on for 2 hours and honestly it's like there is no damage at all.... I swear this has reversed the damage. My hair feels amazing! I will now be doing this mask once a week as a treat. Last september , before my cousin's wedding , i dyed my hair. I left the hair dye on my head for too long . When it came to wash it off i noticed my hair was so brittle and dry. It felt like straw ! And when it dried it looked like i put my finger through an electrical socket. Every morning i would wake up with a rat's nest in the back of my head ! I tried everything to repair my hair. Hi, just want to say thank you for this video, i tried the recipe today , WOW WOW, amazing, i ws skeptical because i have tried so many things b4 spent allot of money and no results, i had all the ingredients in my kitchen, i ws very cautious with the amount of product i used on my hair , but OMG my hair looked great and the curl formation ws there, right there where i left it..but i am going to do the mask again but a but more adventurous and allot more product , i am so impressed, i can cry with delight, now I will do the curl cream, i have no doubt this will be magic.. you an angel

So excited to try this!! I have curls very similar to yours (though my hair never gets that long!). Ever since having my son my hair has been so flat, dry, and frizzy and even when I try styling it the curls just get flat and stringy and it’s really been rough on my confidence lately. Tip: If you don’t have mayo or don’t want to use store bought, you can make your own with olive oil and eggs there’s tons of recipes for it
Could you just scramble the egg with the olive oil and add it to the mixture that way?

Little top, oils used in this recipe you should add 1st before going and adding the honey so the oil helps the full amount of raw honey from your measuring spoon used for the oils.
Also, if you are using a honey that comes in a bear shaped bottle, spoiler alert-odds are it's not actually honey, but is a mix of high fructose corn syrup and molasses. Just an FYI for those whom are not aware of this fact. 😁😎

I have tried many hair masks but this one is easiest to make and the best one with ingredients available at home. No need to blend ingredients just combine and apply and has no smell. Perfect for lazy person like me 😂 i used conditioner after washing my hair with shampoo. 👍

@@geraldineangri9831 there is a mask I actually use it it,s about yogurt and coffee and egg and honey and olive oil and mix it very well and put it on empty shampoo jar and put on water so you can put it on your hair scalp easier and make your hair on half and put it on your hair and scalp and your hair tips and wait for 10 minutes and clean it with cold water without shampoo and use it 2 times on a week for 3 months

Coconut oil should be switched out with olive oil avocado oil. Coconut oil can clog drains. Solidify at lower temperature. With her hair, shower drain clogs would be more frequent. Clog drains can be costly.
But isn't this supposed to be applied on ends and mids only?acc to what she said!

I was wondering the same thing. Had a bad experience with using mayo in my hair several years ago. The smell it left was so nauseating, I had to wash it 3 more times before it toned down enough to stop making me want to puke. That alone made me disappointed to see all the diy hair masks containing mayo. Hope the other ingredients neutralize the odor for keen sense of smell.😥

There are hair masks u apply for scalp but the ones u make at home and add yogurt, egg, castor oil etc are heavy stuff and aren't for the scalp there are a few ones u can make to rub into ur scalp

@@brownblue5514 It's totally ok and safe and beneficial to apply egg into scalp. I wash my hair once a week with one or two whole eggs, leave for 20 minutes (I wrap my hair in plastic) and wash out with cold water. Never wash with warm, the egg will get cooked😃 I finish with vinegar diluted in water rinse. I have identical hair to the woman in the video. When still soaking wet, I apply diy flax seed gel but I will try the cream she uses next time. I have beautiful, bouncy, shiny curls and waves🙂 It's important to treat your hair with hydrating masks like in this video and massage your scalp.
Don't use egg more often than once a week. For some, a lesser frequency may be better. It depends on your hair, eggs are nature's protein treatment and you don't want to overdo it. I sometimes use only the yolk, or use egg white for scalp and yolk for length.
