It always amazes me the respect for life Matt shows while also pursuing his mission. He could have kept the small or clawless crabs for the video content but he respects life too much.

Down south we use the same method with bait on a line for yabbies, hand net comes in handy to scoop them up when you get them in close. Easiest way to catch crabs land based is with a hoop net though just chuck em out like a frisbee. We also rake for crabs but I guess you don't wanna do that with crocs around 😂 .
