For a while I have been obsessed with details in choreographing, from making sure the steps I choreographed are not repeated, to focusing on musicality, lyricality and different aspects of movements. However for once I want to desperately trim down my thought process and look for easier pathways, and ensuring that whoever dances this would have a pleasant time. This was heavily inspired by Rhyezhal's girl hip hop. Of course I still wanted to do it my own urban way. Clearly I did not completely achieve the relaxing elements at the end of the day :)), especially at parts where I wanna hit fast musicality or switch up weight or add in psycho motor elements. I just cannot help it but nonetheless it is a piece that I truly enjoy doing and also grooving to (at parts).
The creation process was mostly in my head until I had to demonstrate it during one of the sharing with my VJ alumni friends. While the execution then was not what I intended, I was already happy with how the visual product turns out.
Also it was the last day before Jingyi left for exchange, and we would all graduate and started working by the next meeting so it would probably be best to dance together one last time before adulting days. The filming process was pretty efficient and fast and fun but of course there would always be more things to look out for and improve :).
