Never forget this whole album is created in a NON digital era. A masterpiece on his own.
One of my favorites! Roger talks about how hard they worked on this. A technical marvel that they never performed live.
They performed part of it live as a part of a medley. It was just as good, if not better live.
A live performance of this sounds like heaven on earth
Match of the Black Queen.... amazing, underrated, complex, beautiful, rollercoaster ride that is everything Queen. Your facial expressions are so fun to watch.... one knowing what's about to hit and the other for the first time..... it's priceless. Queen will forever be my favorite❤. Great reaction!
Queen is like the dark rides at Disneyland. You end up where you began and in between are twists and turns never knowing what's around the next corner. BEEN LOVIN IT FOR 50 YEARS!!
My favorite Queen song hands down. Also we not gonna talk about how cute the kitty is?
March of the Black Kitty 🐈⬛🖤
I'm lord of all darkness, I'm queen of the night....
You say at one moment it's too much. Originally Queen were going to title this album Over the Top
🔝 3 on my Queen Fav list 🖤 Absolutely a masterpiece written by Freddie with great storytelling. In an interview in 1974, Freddie said that he began writing MOTBQ before Queen were even formed. “That song took me ages to complete. I wanted to give it everything to be self-indulgent or whatever.” John Deacon later commented “we spent ages and ages rehearsing this one. Not very easy at all, I can assure you!” In an interview in 1977 Roger Taylor recalled that “the tape went transparent. Genuinely!” Freddie added that “those were the days of 16 track studios … we did so many overdubs on 16 track, it just couldn’t take anymore. I think it snapped in about two places.” In later years Brian May regards MOTBQ as the precursor to Bohemian Rhapsody. MOTBQ is one of Queen’s finest and most important songs! ◼️➰◾️➰▪️➰🖤
Proof positive of genius .
I just love how the Black Queen entered the video at around the 5:26 mark.
March of the Black Hare, one of my favourite songs.....beautifully chaotic!
They can melt your mind
So THAT'S why I don't really get Black Queen...and yet...!
Freddie was just a passionate individual. Sensitive soul he was…but wielded tremendous business acumen. He always stuck to his guns for what he thought was right. And in most cases, he was right.
"why did that hit so hard?"
Queen: oh just wait for it hehe
Funny how love is a recreation of the Wall of Sound" production of Phil Spector. If you can, listen to Larry Lurex "I can hear music" ( aka Freddie and queen) you'll hear the similarities.
MotBQ has 11 sections while Bohemian Rhapsody has 5, its like pre-Bohemian Rhapsody
My favourite song on this album an absolute masterpiece.
You guys leave me speechless ,perfect CZcamsrs .others could learn a lot from you guys , absolutely splendid , Britain loves you 🇬🇧💎💎💎💎🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞👍
We really appreciate the kind words. Thank You
Yes, thankyou again!! This was 🔥 Queen really was something else. So versatile and I love their 70’s stuff. Much bless Guys and keep up the good work!
I’ll tell you I’m a huge Queen fan but I had to listen to March of the Black Queen about 5 times before I heard the genius in the complicated music and lyrics. It’s now one of my favorites.
This song is purely epic
Written and composed by the great Freddie Mercury - enough said !!
I think your brain melted
MORE QUEEN! 😃👑🥂
Y’all petting the cat as the song was winding down was too wholesome 🤣🤣🤣
Sheer Mercurial Magic when that BLACK cat jumped onto the couch....
This album is my life 🌹 Thanks so much for reacting to the whole thing.
I remember blasting this album on 8-track in my friends Camaro on the way to the garden to see the greatest live band of all time. Brilliant!
Thanks, Sideways guys! Queen II is one of the most unique albums EVER -- (side black & side white) - you're heard "black queen" - check out "White Queen" - live at Hammersmith/ Odeon - the interplay between Brian on guitar and Freddie on keys is astounding (Brian song_) but also Fred's vocals, Roger's drums - one of the best ever! czcams.com/video/f8usNj4x9NA/video.html (sorry, forgot to mention Deaky slappin' da bass, mon!) czcams.com/video/f8usNj4x9NA/video.html
An epic song absolutely love it 😍 the whole album is epic ❤️❤️
I hope it was in stereo on your end. It’s in mono on this end and May as well not listened. This song is ALL ABOUT the vocals and instruments flying from left to right and all over in your head. Please listen in stereo sometime, it’s 120 % more Queen!!!!
it can be too much for people at first listen but thats the magic of Queen
Confession: My Like was as much for the cat as for you guys and the music. Great reaction. 🐾🎶
He can be cute but usually he’s tearing around the house and destroying things.
the reactiion when it switch to funny how love is was so funny, love these 2 songs though
This is too much? This is just the beginning. Enjoy :)
El mejor álbum de Queen largamente..
And in marched the Black Cat, absolutely purr- fect timing! Did ya know Freddie adored his cats, he loved them so much because they were his children! He would phone them while on tour and spoke to them, he wanted them to hear his voice! He was truly a kind, sweet, gentle man with the gift of music. Thank you for choosing Queen for your reaction! Great job and ❤ the kitty!
Tpo too too much of the classic album..love it since the first time we have heard it from back in 74.
Lives forevermore .....beyond.
Love this soooo much, production was epic on this, should be a film based on this album, give Peter Jackson a call.
YESSSS YESSSS
Picturing the whole thing now……
@K R I see Galadriel 🧝🏻♀️ And Alice in Wonderland “Off with their heads”
HUNDREDS of guitar overdubs
and no synth
And to think that in their album "Queen II" they had to clarify that they did not use a synthesizer because of the people (And above all musicians) they did not believe that they were capable of recording those sounds without a synthesizer.
@@davidcortes3399 definitely
@@davidcortes3399 and some bbc live recordings stated that too
I noticed your startled reaction to that line in MotBQ which people prefer to ignore - no, I don't know what he meant by it, either.
It means "raw cane sugar." An old expression, obviously not used anymore.
Thank you for tribute to a classic! Also, thank you for loving a kitty cat. Tail held high.
March of the black Queen walked so bohemian rhapsody could run
i love how at 2:01 yall zoom in on the brown man when freddie drops the n word
i agree that was funny
didnt they cut that from most versions of march of the black queen
they cut it from the lyric sheets, not the actual song@@topmandog1
One of the few early Queen songs they never played live in its entirety due to how complex and reliant on overdubs it was. Rhapsody had a lot of overdubs, sure, but the beauty of that is that the piano/harmony break in the middle can be played separately as a pre-record, and the segue in and out of it is clean enough to do it live, as in their Wembley shows. Black Queen, good as it is, would probably lose people live.
The black cat fits perfect to this video! :-)
Haha, your cat acts like mine... pets good, cuddles, not so much. LOL
Nice album reaction...
The mother of Bohemian Rhapsody!
DJ, you really need to hear "The Prophet's Song" on The Night at the Opera. I really would love to hear your opinion and also to '39.
So...I've been going through your Zep albums. I grew up in the 70s and almost forgot I always "Got The Led Out". I love so many bands and there were so many great freakin bands then. I am 4th out of 5. All with their own musical taste and my parents played albums a lot! Dad, Frank Sinatra and Big Bands and Mom into show tunes. .So now, I have very eclectic taste. Here is hoping it's the beginning of a bottomless rabbit hole of tunes. Cream, Stones, The Allman Bros, Steely Dan, Doobie Bros...etc. I saw the trailer for The Matrix and they used Jefferson Airplane song White Rabbit. I got major goosebumps. Thanks for great music. 😁 Adding: Chris Cornell (too many to mention plus astounding covers of..everyone) J. Geils (please before Centerfold), Def Leppard..I'll stop, for now (insert snide laughter) 🎵🎶🎵💙💜💙🤟
Are Queen too much of a good thing ??? 😂😂😂😁😍 ( not for me )
The March Of The Black Queen is my favourite song!
Solo dal genio di Freddie poteva uscire fuori un tale capolavoro
Wow superb love it 💯
You need to see the lyrics, EPIC
The March Of The Black Cat
🥁🥁🥁💕
Black Queen is probably the most complicated Queen song ever. Apparently they only ever played it twice live.
They never played the whole song live. It’s impossible to recreate they said. But part of it („I reign with my left hand…) was part of the Queen medley with Killer Queen, that they often played in the 70s.
No other band creates music like this nowadays.
You really need to listen to The Prophet's Song/Love Of My Life
Madonna mia che voce Freddie
Funny How Love Is…… masterpiece
No is Stereo :(
I love Queen and Freddie's voice but i also love black cats,in fact all cats in fact all wild life, what's happened to mankind??
Funny How Love Is is my least fave Queen song. I just have never liked a song with the "Wall Of Sound" concept...... On the flip side, MOTBQ is one of my absolute faves!
This could have been a great reaction video, but you both lost interest so quick... do some research before you do another reaction to a Queen song.
Great king rat and liar are other 2 masterpieces
