Solar eclipses are not visible everywhere on the planet. Lunar eclipses are seen in every part of the planet which are in the night side. It happens all the time. About once every 18 months somewhere in the world. The moon passes in front of the sun. Thats all there is to it. It is spectacular.
I did choose a remote place especially to not hearing all those humans cheering this spectacular celestial alignment, and I appreciated a lot more, believe me. I remembered all the different scientifiques explanations about eclipses. I, of course saw a lot of partial solar eclipses in my life, but the total was spectacular to watch.
We drove from GA to Knoxville AR to experience it. This was our second totality after our first one in 2017. Totally worth it! The weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better view.
I'll never forget the sight of this. Was in Dallas on our school turf. We had a clear view and because it was a supermoon it was huge. I've never seen the moon that large before and with the sun's corona effect what a sight for sore eyes
Despite all these videos, no camera can capture how amazing it is to see with your own eyes. I was very fortunate to experience it from my own backyard. That morning was complete overcast and rain too, but it cleared up a mere 30 minutes before totality.

I saw this in a town north of Austin and it did not go black. IT just was a diffuse light like at dusk . I did enjoy it but it definitely did NOT go black and I saw NO stars. It was overcast with lots of clouds and so maybe in this town where this man is screaming --it is different. I actually am so glad I saw it where I was rather than where this man was and everyone screaming when it goes dark. I actually felt peace when it went dark and very quiet. It was not a supermoon... if it was a supermoon, the eclipse duration would be around 6'30" instead of 3'30"
