Getting paid, even 1000 dollars, for 2 weeks of camping and hanging out with Greg Helsing sounds like heaven to me. Also stop complaining about being humiliated, that’s the point of the show. You would have gained followers if you redeemed yourself from season 1 by actually doing something and having character development.
The fact that Sam and the MDE crew has at least tried to leave on good terms with most of the fish (Jimmy, Jon, Cole) means that Mauro must've done something to truly piss them off behind the scenes, confirmed with his twitter thread.
