As a German, I can't thank Ronald Reagan enough for his contributions to end the Cold War and for the unification of my country. He's speech to the Bundestag is a testament to his charisma, optimism and determination to hold the free world together. I doubt we see a leader in our lifetime, who can compare to this man. The more I read about him, the more I admire him.

Helmut Schmidt war von 1974 bis 1982 kanzler

Onkel Fabs no at that time (june 1982) still Schmidt was chancellor. Kohl became chancellor a few months later on october 1st 1982!
