My father passed away a few years ago, and while its extremely sad for me bc our relationship wasn't great, my teen years with him were tough, with that being an understatement. It definitely causes me issues now and has.
When this movie first came out, I thought that wedding was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I know half the movie budget had to be for that wedding 😂 I know Tyler had to pay some insurance to have them people dangling in the air like that 😂 Vanessa was wearing that dress, though 😂

This Movie review was Everything. All of the Actors / Actresses really did their thing in Madea’s family Reunion . Lynn Whitfield is one phenomenal actress but hated her in this role . She was the MOTHER FROM HELL. Generational curses are something else . The parts with the other sister was too hard to watch n triggering for me because being a Sexual abuse/ molestation survivor took a lot out of me. Healing isn’t linear & We can’t HEAL what we don’t REVEAL!!

I grew up in church my entire life and the Bible says in Ephesians chapter 5:25 that husbands should love wives as Christ loves the church. That is not to say that men are on God's level because thats not possible. It means to aim to be patient, loving, merciful, forgiving and kind to wives as husbands. Thats how Christ treats us. Vanessa saved her self when she told her mama she was not her tragedy and the darkness Frankie pulled her from is the darkness of fear that he may hurt her or her children. I understand that some women idolize men as God but thats not what the scripture intends.
