- Walking around Melbourne CBD, Swanston Street on a beautiful sunny day.
Swanston Street is a major thoroughfare in the centre of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is one of the main streets of the Melbourne central business district. The most liveable City is back!
City: Melbourne
Postcode: 3000
State: Victoria
Country: Australia
Video Filmed: March 2022
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful city beautiful country!my favourite country in the world!
Thanks BANITSA!
I love it. Notice how there are actual benches, city owned and maintained benches, across the city? And these benches are not owned by the adjacent store or restaurants! The privilege of being able to sit down without buying products is widely available in Melbourne and not just limited to parks.
It might seem like an odd thing to point out but it speaks volumes on the social values of the city. It shows there is value placed on recreation and community. In New York City for example there is a complete lack of publicly accessible benches without first making a purchase from a store. They prioritize profit and seek to limit the homeless population to desolate corners across the city. Hats off to Australia

Thanks for coming Didin! Greetings to all of you in Indonesia!
Major recommendation: Take Degraves Lane off Flinders street (left at Flinders street instead of straight) and follow the lane ways and arcades through the city (right through the middle). You see beautiful architecture, bustling cafes, vintage stores, street art and galleries.
Thank's for the great recommendation Taylah! added to our bucket list.
Why is it so crowded with people?is there something special going on?
It’s a beautiful day in Melbourne and its footy season again.
@@TravelMelbourne right on!lets go magpies!it’s the first day of spring in Canada and I guess it’s fall in Australia!

I guess it does have a population equal to the whole of NZ. You're going to find that's the case.
8:42 - 9:07 - For generations, Melburnians have said: 'Meet me under the clocks at Flinders Street.'

@@TravelMelbourne You're welcome, thanks for sharing
I visited from rural NSW in the early 80's, and experienced rudeness for the first ever time. It's probably worse now. Melbourne was rude and obnoxious at a time when Sydney was still actually friendly!
Melbourne is reputed to become Australia's biggest city in 2030, but has acted like the biggest city for decades.
Thanks for visiting our channel Noel! Hopefully your experience will be better when you visit Melbourne again!
@@TravelMelbourne
Yes, fingers crossed 🤞🤠
I suspect people are rude to you where ever you go.Except in Sydney, the gay capital of the world.Cause gay people are friendly.even to people with a chip on their shoulder.
Did you ever think maybe it was you? You seem very good at finger pointing
and here we have the cliche Sydney troll
Is this Melbourne in Florida??
Melbourne Australia! Thanks for watching B Boy!
The cars are being driven on the left hand side of the road. The people are talking with an Australian accent. No one is carrying a gun.The pedestrians are walking on the left hand side of the footpath. No crimes are being committed.Trams are transporting commuters. The cops are not harrassing anyone. The citizens all look friendly. Why would you think this is Melbourne, Florida?
@@petermcculloch4933 just looks like a sleepy town that’s all
Great video, but so sad to still see a lot of the sheep still wearing masks up to March 2022. A lovely city to walk around and I enjoyed my visits there over the years.
Thanks for dropping by Robert 😀
Or a lot of people who are considerate of others and aren’t idiots perhaps? Not that you’d understand that
@@DrDoctorDr Don't make assumptions about me. Considerate? No, just plain brainwashed.

What is beauty if most of the people are snobbish & unfriendly to strangers especially to asians????
Thanks for stopping by Bob!
How can a city that has a majority population that is Asian be rude to Asians specifically
and here we see an Asian that got stopped by border security trying to smuggle ugly foods into AUS and is a bit bitter
I disagree. Melbourne has a diverse population. We are very friendly irrespective of race or culture. I'm sorry if you had a negative experience, but I have found it to be the exact opposite.
Hmm. I see quite a lot of trash on the streets 😑
Thanks too from ind.guj.
Always welcome Pravin Dave 😊
