    Tesla is not a lux or premium brand. It’s insane how many people think the opposite. Wind noise alone should be the dead give away.

      If luxury is above premium, I would agree Tesla is not luxury. But it's definitely premium. I've own multiple brand new Honda CRV and brand new MB C300 and my MY is less luxurious than the C300 but way more premium than our fully loaded Honda CRV with 10x better performance and Tech... Go to a Honda dealer and ask for a loaner and see what you get 😂

      ​​@@user-gg1qm8ox4r You hear SOME wind noise because of the lack of engine. However a lot of it is lack of quality control on the window seals. The wind noise on my 23 M3P is WAY worse than the wind noise was on my 18 Model 3 midrange.

    Those scratches are pretty crazy. That’s the kind of incompetence that people “fear” when taking their vehicles into dealers. Watched a few of your videos and I can tell your standards are high…I’m similar, not uncommon with car enthusiasts. That’s bad, what the heck were they doing…geez
    They just don’t care when it comes right down to it. Not unlike your Porsche there where they didn’t put back certain screws underneath when they fixed your turbo or whatever. Lol, that sorta stuff drives me crazy.

    Definitely would have thought they would at least dry the trunk in the process…how else would they confirm that no water will enter the trunk if it’s not dry after their repair? But the scratches would be a problem for me. If you’re going to scratch my car all up while attempting to repair my spoiler, I’d rather you just give me a new spoiler and I’ll remove the old one and do the repair myself.
    I drove a model 3 once as a rental in Houston. Ended up going to the charger several times in the span of 20 hours just from riding around town. Between driving around looking for chargers, waiting in line to charge, and actually charging, we wasted half our day with that thing. Swapped it out for a Dodge Charger the next day because I wasn’t dealing with that another day.

    My Tesla service experience has been an absolute nightmare! They had my car for 4 weeks for a seat issue on my X. They ordered a whole new seat for some weird reason and said it was fixed. It was close to the end of the day at that point but I decided to go get it right then considering they had my car for a month already. When I got there they said they were closing and if I wanted to look over the repairs I’d have to do it at home. Once I got it home I tried to work the seat functions and NOTHING! I immediately messaged them stating the problem was never solved and they said to bring it in on Monday. It has now been in their possession for another 3 weeks and they’ve told me each week that they were waiting on a part and “it should be in today” each time! Sounds to me like they don’t know what’s wrong with it so they just keep replacing parts. Not to mention when we got it back from them the first time they did something to the charge port door. It wouldn’t open AT ALL and said that it was already open. Finally got it open two days later to finally charge the car and the port wouldn’t unlock to plug it in then wouldn’t unlock to pull it out. I’m at my wits end!!

    The dealers are awful, I borrowed a model Y to test in summer and the drivers side dash vents would not adjust with the controls in the display... It was faulty. I tried to explain and they told me I just didn't know how to use the car... I handed them the card and laughed as I walked out.

    My 23MYP is a piece of s. Built in the dark. Plastic rattles and squeaks everywhere. But I love how it drives, charges, stereo and autopilot... I cringe when I went for service and had to send them pictures of how many bolts and pushpin rivets they forgot to put back. Bottom aero floor covers had 3 bolts missing from the factory. Clearly built in a rush. They have no quality control and dont care past "good enough for the masses".

      Get that serviced before your 1 year ends. Otherwise it's cost you. Most of my rattles are mostly gone after 5 visits, haha

    there was a recall for the rear view camera connector on my 2018 Model 3. After Tesla swapped out that connector, I haven't had that black "delayed" screen. Good Luck!

      ​@@TommyLGarageWhich service center do you go to? I had horrible experience with the SC in Mount Kisco, NY. The staff was friendly but they always leave a huge mess and no loaners available, instead you get uber credits for none crucial issues. But that SC also serves most of Connecticut because SC are not allowed in CT.

    all NY Metro area dealers are the same, I don't think these issues are Tesla related... there are some truly awful BMW dealerships in NJ as well.

    As a Rivian owner, don’t expect their service to be any better! Fit and finish quality is definitely much much better, and submitting software glitches like your backup cam is also easy to do. I feel like they’re slowly getting encumbered by the volume as well. Still, great cars and I still love my R1S

    Yep, wet trunk, scratches & rear camera anti-fix would annoy me. I will say BMW annoyed me worse & charged through the azz.
    Appreciate the Tesla brand & what they accomplished yet sure they produce unsatisfactory service / product . The mission is to large to not have issues.

    I am always thankful to people that do service for me.
    Even when I get I eye rolls or even when I get the look of you are bothering me by expecting them to actually do their job.
    I usually can not wait for the warranty to run out so I can manage her vehicle my self and out of 30+ vehicles I have owned I only bought 3 new ones (usually buy vehicles that are 3+ years old that some else took the appreciation, and put that money into investments hence why we Will retire at age 55)

    The truck at 4:02 is hilarious 😂 This 24h notice on picking up the car or you getting charged $$ especially after they did not met their promises by 5 more days is appalling imo. Same with the scratching of the paint while fixing the spoiler, and no Tommy, you're not picky, it's unacceptable 🙈 The trunk issue with water to me looks like more a water drain issue. They seem incompetent. I am sure you've seen many but me too and this was really, really bad... Worse than anything I've seen honestly. And the part you found at the end ROFL!!! Too bad Tesla! At this point, I'd just try another dealer (and here is the issue, not much choice I guess) and if same result, just sell the car and buy another one (Rivian or Lucid anyone?)

      I always say the charging network is what keeps me with Tesla but I have an m5 for long trips so technically this is not an issue anymore. Maybe time for a change

    I love teslas, and I'd love to have one. I've thought many times about buying one. But I always hear about how service is, the closest store is about 100 miles away from my house, I don't have a good way to charge at home and don't really want to deal with trying to set up a good way to charge, I live in PA, the closest supercharger is 25 miles away from my house, etc. Also, I've rented/have overnight test drives on about 10 different teslas totalling about 15k miles. I've never had any with more than 30k miles and most have been under 10k miles on the odometer - about half of them have had some kind of issue going on. Also.. tires don't last.
    I'm not ready yet, I don't think.

      *If you lack home EVSE, don't buy one !* EVs are not for everyone. And the tech is changing quickly with prices coming down. They have shit for range and there is typically little to no charging once you leave the highway environment. Also, the ride is so HARSH in my '22 MYLR electric go-cart, that I am too embarrassed to take passengers with me anywhere. BUT: I love driving the Model Y, despite it's many.... but non-critical flaws. The car never abandons or anything severe. Just quirky intermittent software issues, but I know better than to ask the Tesla service-textingTARDS for help.

    Do not gaslight yourself to submission for this bad service. That carbon spoiler replacement job was shit (not micro scratches, but scratches through the top coat and not aligned correctly). Totally unacceptable. It is also worrying, that the original spoiler had bubbled.
    5 days explained by the broken taillight.
    Rear camera may be condensation related (camera, as nothing was found in cables?). Sometimes further debugging is not feasible.

    The backup camera issue is software, not hardware, so its not going to be fixed anytime soon lol. Their backlog of coding sprints is HUGE because of FSD catastrophe.

    Rarely putting more than one comment but Tommy, have you thought about Audi e-tron line up or Mercedes-Benz electric models? You keep the fun of an electric car life if that's what you want to have on top of your other vehicles and they feel like a real car. Or why not the Porsche Taycan? Not sure about the charging network though - if that's your main concern.

    I have a Model X and although I love driving it, will never buy another Tesla again for a few reasons. 1) Service 2) 50% depreciation 3) Not having CarPlay 4) Elon

    Oh just as a side note I took my wife’s 2022 Mercedes C300 in for service last week to check out a noise coming from the left rear wheel, after the brakes were replaced. Seems they forgot to fully tighten the brake caliper bolts.
    The service guys were treating me like they worked in a funeral home 🧐.
    Lousy service even at Mercedes 😅

    I see all your points. I have to say, I never felt Tesla as a premium brand, even with the Performance models. Models S seemed to be there luxury model, I just never cared for it. The other brands you mentioned definitely should give you premium service. I occasionally got the black screen issue as you have with yours, on my 2018 Model 3, but not as often as your car. I have since sold that car for a new 2023 Model Y. I’ll see if I get that issue more often. If I do I’ll post a video on CZcams.

    I totally hear you Tommy. I’ve been lucky with the service where I am at on Long Island. I noticed the coffee machines in the waiting area are also very basic compared to other brands lol.

    Customer service is horrible. Try having a flat tire and Tesla roadside says 2 days to come out. Lol. They are horrible and not getting better. I had an Hv battery fault and they said 3 weeks to come in. How the f would I drive to work and be able to charge ? You can’t. They are terrible

    As someone who cars about their cars. From a 1995 Jeep to a 2023 Acura this would bother me. Between the scratches, unable to update the reverse issues and the overall poor customer service I would never consider buying one after seeing these stories.

    My 2023 Model X with HW4 has not been able to sleep since December 3 2023. I have been to the service center 4 time for this issue. The first 3 times they blamed it on my 3rd party apps. I told them each time that my Model 3 has not had this issue and is connected to the same apps. The only difference is that my X is HW4 and my 3 is HW3. There was no problem solving. I said this is an issue that could be easily solved. All they have to do is see what changed on December 4. If it sleeps on 12/3 and 12/4, it does not, then looking at the change in the logs would point in the right direction. Needless to say, they finally checked with engineering and found what they call guidance on this issue. It was actually what I told them. I said that it looks like a problem with a firmware update and HW4. I was told that this is a known issue and now my car is flagged for a fix (what ever that means). In the meantime my 80K+ car loses 4-6% range each day ( which cost me money in electricity not to mention that my battery is not able to balance cells correctly because it can’t sleep). Who knows when this issue will be fixed.

    Wow, that’s an annoying experience. That spoiler looks like something from ebay with the fitment and clear coat failing. Get that trunk dried quickly thoroughly! I had water leak in to my Avenger trunk last winter through a tail light seal, and as soon as the temps got above freezing the trunk was full of mold 😬. Took me a while to realize it because I don’t use the trunk that often but when I found it, it was disgusting. The guy crop dusting in the diesel truck, that happens to me where I live 🤣. I think it’s some kind of signal that the driver likes you 😂

    This problem right here. It's not that Tesla is lacking premium service to its customers, it's that Tesla is lacking the management skills at the local servicing centers to hire competent technicians that CARE about doing a job well done from drop to pick up. There is no accountability at the local level thus allowing the local level to behave this way. Therefore, it would be my new project to escalate as high as possible even going to regional manager if I have to. These technicians have to be held accountable. How many other Tesla owners were impacted by such care or lack of care? Be interesting to read a google review. At the end the day id say F these guys you paid premium money to get a Tesla and deserve better level of customer service and execution of concerns. Hospitality has become a lost art.

    It's not a Tesla thing it's an EV thing. Even Kia EVs have the same issues with service. $60k to replace the battery pack in a Kia(Canada) and plenty of issues waiting for parts and no loaners(usually get an ICE loaner), ect... We are still in the early stages of EV adoption, and quality will improve as more data comes in and new models are available... BUT YES, Tesla Service needs to improve. Hopefully, now that MY production is fully ramped, they will shift focus on QC and Service experience.

    Send them a picture of the random part on the app and ask them what that’s all about.
    I’ve said it before, I have an even earlier MYP than yours without any issues. You have a lemon, seriously you should look into your states lemon laws. Not having a functioning backup camera with kids around is pretty dangerous.

    I have a Model 3 Performance and I want to sell my car because I am sick of their service. I can't even sell my car now because of damn Elon cutting our cars' value to half. I hate Tesla. I would never buy another Tesla again.

    ‼ IMO, If you cannot afford to write a check for your Tesla with *THROW AWAY $MONEY$* ..... then stay the fk away from this brand! And if you cannot charge at home, NEVER EVER buy an EV if you care about your sanity. Not until they come with at least 500 miles of real world range ! ( You just get spoiled by driving them! )
