“No new cameras for 2021.”
X: Doubt
I'm literally on the roof of a job site watching this.
I’m literally sitting on my couch smoking a blunt 😂
I'm literally eating lunch reading this comment
Hi Literally, I'm Elijah.
hey man at least your priorities are straight
@Rip Dingers lol literally same here
I’m 3 minutes in and still no mention of Baxter. The suspense is killing me.
Baxter was mentioned in the small print in the first few seconds under “special thanks”!
@@carlosshootsfilm2889 thank you
drop everything, it's a grainy video!
I am literally last moment studying for a tomorrow exam and I dropped studying because the notification came through.
The parallaxing endcards never cease to amaze me
"Ahoy" completely threw me off guard
Wat up
GrainyDaddy is back with a new one
We should swap 65mm and 80mm lenses for a bit 👌🏼 always wanted to try the 80
hell yea lets do it
I came here for baxter....I stayed for the hot Mesopotamian pottery
I'm literally in the midst of open heart surgery and I am now watching this.
The amount of unexpected photos in this update video can only be described with two beautiful words: dummy thicc
Calling it now, heavy orange filter means hes shooting aerochrome
Can confirm. I messaged him on insta a while back and he stated a vid on aerochrome was in the works
It’s the same beach as the x ray film video
Correct
Aerochrome is fun. I did a video on it 2019. Shot my second roll recently🙂
I recently was able to get some for a good deal, $160 for 4 rolls of it
Loving the parallax effect at the end of the videos! It's a nice touch.
Looking forward to the Plaubel Makina content!
Looking forward to everything you talked about in the video! Including more images from a camera I've lusted ( maybe the wrong word ) after for a long time.
3:30 That traditional swimming poool looks dope in black and white! Great composition and it has really cool atmosphere with these strong contrast and clouds.
on the middle of studying for my exams but f it, when a grainydays video is dropped you watch it.
Wild. I’ve had that PTA video in my recommendations for quite some time& I just decided to watch it yesterday although I haven’t send the film yet. Hope 2021 treats you well! You convinced me to pursue film photography this year!
just found this comedi channel and i'm loving it
Yes! Love to see more
I love that Jason and Caleb upload at the same time, I ship it
These videos always make me chuckle
Got Covid and in quarantine. Watch all your videos and I plan on using my Canon AE-1 much more this year. Already bought that camera bag you use and got decent tripod. Good luck to your new 2021 journey
I'm in love with that diffusion filter look omg. I'm going to get one of them for sure, thank you!
Do you know what's it called?
Was waiting for the pool shot and you didn’t disappoint.
Great fun as ever - look forward to a book!
Recently bought the 55mm SMC Takumar lenses for the 67, and honestly speaking I like it more than my 105 2.4 for the shooting style that I'm going for (landscape and street, this lens is super duper fun for street photography hahaha)
105 is still a godly lens, but yeah, the 55 is such a beast
honestly my favorite channel
Daaaaamn, I was just recently mentioning Makina 67 as my dream one-lens-camera😅 I dropped a tiny teardrop when I saw the Plaubel strap 🥲
Fuck yes man, looking forward to ceramic content!
You really love taking photos of that pool
Very interested to see those videos and the review for the camera!
Digging it. Look forward to all the videos. Maybe do some more interviews this year those were fun last year. Also glad you got the swimming pool in. Damn I thought it might be gone. 😂
One tip for Makina. When not used store it opened. It will make the bellows last longer. Cheers!
Don’t eliminate all the jokes... I love them.
Awesome! Can't wait to see all the "to be edited" videos. 🙌🏻
and yes, up for the scanning workfolw video!
Looking forward to the finished edits! Also here for the diffusion experiments as well as any other one's you may grace us with. Lastly, Scan and Edit video's 🔥 please and thank you🙏🏽
Glad the Pool is back!
Last night I was like, "Man, I could really use a Grainydays video right now."
You have answered my prayers.
I have a 55 Tak but for 35mm and I love it. The colors are very vibrant and it’s really sharp with excellent bokeh. All of my Takumar lens are excellent, my favorite being the nifty fifty 1.4
How have I never run into you?! I walk the same areas as you taking everyday photos. So it goes. Thoroughly enjoy your videos dude, keep it up!
these pictures are gorgeous
Yes, we want the scan and edit video!
sharpening method baby
Yes more experimental techniques!
Yes to everything.. cool
Yes please for tutorial scan & editing your film!!
hell yea guy keep at it
My favorite channel
Nice choice with the Plaubel. I just picked up a nice 67 in London and I must say I enjoy using it a lot more than the Mamiya 7 that I had. Fact it collapses means it can fit in a tiny bag. Be gentle with the film wind on!
the box being lined up with the edge of the window is very satisfying.
Yes to all.
I just recently purchased a Braun Gloria, which is extremely similar to the Plaubel, and I absolutely love it!
As soon as that zine comes out I’m going to buy it immediately!!!!!!
A new grainydays video. We can finally start the year.
I am dying to get a better medium format camera, but I cannot decide on which one.. I've been shooting a Duaflex II.😬
Yes please
I've got the f4 version of the SMC 55mm and love it. I did a lot of research and finally concluded the f4 version would work best for my landscapes.
I. Am. Loving. It.
I would love to see ur updated scanning process!
Jason is the GOAT of youtube
New subscriber tonight. I love your videos and humor. Please, please do a video on how specifically you do your moving images. They are all so fascinating but the ones in the Hopper video with the increased color and white borders were beyond words. I also would to love to learn how you shoot, scan and edit your work.
I just ordered an Olympus AF-1, first (analog) camera. Let's go baby
Way to go with the Plaubel 670! You will not be disappointed. that 80mm Nikon lens is one of the most beautiful ever produced.
i think that pool shot might be my favorite one yet
yoooo, i love your photos and videos. greetings from Chile
Caleb. I love you. Keep doing what you do.
Dang, I can't believe your channel has blown up like this. I just watched a vid of yours from 2 years ago where you said "thanks for 100 subscribers!". That was a mindfuck.
I bought a Makina W67 in May 2020 to fight off the lockdown blues. It became my most used medium format camera leading to my Mamiya 6 & 7, the 500 c/m, Pentax 67 and even the mighty Fuji GW670 being benched. It took me longer than it should to get used to the focusing method on the dial surrounding the shutter release but otherwise it’s a perfect travel medium format camera.
love your videos man, cheers from south america, Argwntina.
Expired large format film is fun to work with! It will be interesting to see what results you get.
Man your voice is so soothing
I just checked in and here is a new video, so I am literally sitting where I normally am watching this.
ya, fill that metaphorical hole, i wanna see you do it
now premiering on my onlyfans
Don't forget to double wind on the Makina 670. (fellow 670 owner)
And ALWAYS have the focus set to infinity when opening the bellows out. It will save your meter wiring & bellows. They are expensive to service & CLA, but the best travel 6x7 medium format camera. That Nikkor lens is amazingly sharp.
Orange 044 B+W filter = AEROCHROME !!!
hell yeah
This channel slaps hard.
The updated 55mm F4 is incredibly sharp. I love shooting with it
Thank you for supplying my monthly addiction to this channel
love seeing the monsters outside shirt 😍😍😍
When I still owned my 6x7 I had the 55mm Takumar. It felt versatile being essentially a 28mm equivalent. Taking portraits with a wide lens made for some interesting results coupled with the kind of depth of field you get with 6x7. I ended up selling the entire system because simply It was too heavy and cumbersome for me. I have a rolleiflex now as my only 120 camera.
Yes please on scanning video 🙏
I thought the strap said "Lubitel" at first ... and I thought you were going in literally the opposite direction you did.
Talking about that, would be really cool to see Jason reviewing a Lubitel
I have the 55mm for my Pentax system, it’s definitely my second favorite lens. It’s extremely sharp, and it is the perfect lens for landscapes. It does bend parallel lines a bit which is annoying.
jealous of your nature + weather.
Perfection
My new camera already for 2021 is an OM-10. Congrats on the Plaubel
Love that ur rocking the mullet
A video for scan end edits would be cool
I dont have a mamiya 7 myself but can borrow them from my university (college) and everytime I do I use the 65mil lens on it and can’t recommend it enough! I use 35mil lenses when im on 35mm and feels not far off that so isnt too much of a switch between the 2!
Best channel
I wouldn't be surprised to see some footages of Jason looting in the capitol with such a dope mullet
YAY
Give this man -a shield- an editor !
ahh dude as soon as i saw the strap. I loveee that camera
Aahhh The Pool!
That pre school mullet.... Nice.
I have the 55mm for the Pentax. I like it but I tend to use it on a tripod for landscape stuff. I also have 75, that's been my go to lens now as it's pretty darn sharp
Where do you get all the lo-fi background music? Loving the vibe of this channel every time I tune in! Keep up the great content.
would love to see your nlp workflow!
Aerochrome! Nice
That 60 year old joke got me good 🤣🤣
