Virtual Riot is not deaf!!!!!!!
fatimah anwaar Beethoven was only deaf in his last years.
I have watched this video probably 20 times, every single time I do the example track you're using to show how to put together chords and stuff is so beautiful.
Virtual Riot you are byfar my favorite artist and I am extremely thankful for a music tutorial by you. Happy mixing!
Major kudos to you man, everything you make is spectacular. I can't tell you enough about how much I listen to your songs, and yet you're still making a video like this to help all your fans. You're seriously the best producer...ever!
Hey young man! As an old dog learning new tricks, please keep your tutorials coming! My 16 year young daughter turned me onto you a year ago, and I really like your music! Great collaboration with Mr. Bill on Thwek... you guys keep raising the bar, but I like that! You're gifted so keep up the good work!
Damn I remember watching this when it came out. 'Gave me inspiration for my artist name. Good memories. This video never gets old. It's a classic and always will be.
Stephen (Seamless) taught me how to use Vocodex, I told you about it, and now just a few days before you're livestreaming with him, you're teaching the world about it too. Crazy how things go so full circle, huh! Much love Valentin, I can tell that everyone will really benefit from this video. :D
Yeah, Never tell Virtual Riot any trade secrets unless you want the world to know.......He literally made a career off of exposing other producers secrets.
@@TheBlashMusic He's a good friend, I don't mind at all. :D
@@lovefrommana That's cool, he seems like a great guy. But, other producers definitely got a bit salty when VR exposed their techniques hahaha
@@lovefrommana I personally love his openness to the community though.
@@TheBlashMusici love virtual riot because he always ready to share his knowledge with others

Inspiration. That's what this guy is. Thanks man! Keep the great work.
You're squeezing every square inch of power out of that CPU. Amazing work. Inspiring.
Seriously Virtual Riot (screw Skrillex) your the king of dubstep when i listen to you it just makes my day so congratulations on making amazing dubstep :)
Virual Riot, u are awesome, thanks to a popular guy like u to give free tutorials and presets to beginner producers etc...
Thanks alot, and keep up the good work. Peace.

I just watch some of your studio sessions and I want to thank you so much cause are so helpfull and clear!!!
You are the first BIG Dubstep celebrities creating music tutorial professional, (with dodge and fuski) ;)
Bar9 did
Great tutorial man. went really in depth and you set yourself apart from most youtubers.
Mr.Riot :D thanks for this video! its very cool and fun to lern how you make your art and using the right sounds for it... keep making awesome music ! :D
Oh my god release youknowme it's like my favorite EDM track ever at the moment. Keep up these videos super informative and interesting!
that remixing can you feel my heart is beautiful 😍
Nice work bro! I would like to learn next time from you something like how you creating melodies in complex electro style, or especially how to drop is builded, (hope you know what I mean) etc. Anyway, great tutorial, everything is really nice explained and easy to understand either, can't wait for next episode. Always doing it awesome, Keep it up :)
one of the greatest tutorials.
vielen vielen dank virtual riot°
Everything you do is gold O.O
I'm very curious as to how much headroom you use in your mixes and if you use JUST limiting and said Ozone features when you master. I hear talk about a lot of engineers using clipping to their advantage by putting hardware that can make the cruddy dirt (in a modrated amount) sound perfectly professional.
Really like your tutorials, they're really helpful, so good job! A thing i would like to see, is how you layer your melodies. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for this! i requested a mastering tutorial a while ago and you delivered well! it will be so much help to me! and the ending was hilarious, well done haha :')
I don't like how I can't see his cursor.
Thankyou so much for making this! sometimes it's nice to just see how someone else would go about this system... I'd love to see a walkthrough of one of your more complextro tracks next time, perhaps experimental tracks like Troublemaker! :)
Yes i was waiting forever for this :)
I approve of EVERYTHING in this video, especially the outro.
Happy New Year 2019 Mr. Riot

This is insanely helpful. Thanks :D

Studio time with Virtual Riot = Best tutorial EVER
Virtual Riot is the best and the boss xD.
Nice work.
that ws really helpfull...thank you.....
u r really climbing up in my favr8 producer tutors list ...:P
The first pluck used is part of the Complextro and Dubstep Vol 3 pack by Freaky Loops, a sample pack that I believe was partly designed by virtual riot himself, at least thats what I think seeing as he created the song for Complextro and Dubstep 2
It's just makes me really happy you're not just sticking with everything massive, or sticking with company/DAW specific products... The fact you're using IL Vocodex & sytrus in ableton makes me chuckle, & rather happy you're not grounding yourself to a name brand.
I can't wait for that outro song to be released owo
For your next studio time, could you show us how you put your tracks together? Like after the drop, how you combine all your sounds and it sounds so clean!?
Mostly, it's a lot of practice. Just keep trying and testing new things until you come out with something you like. Combine new things. If you're having trouble on anything you just need more practice. Don't let the genre or things people say you should go by stop you from creating.
Do you master with izoptope and then send off to a studio for final mastering? Do you do your own mastering on songs you release professionally or outsource it to a sound engineer? Curious about because I'm struggling to figure out the right way to get my tracks sounding balanced and professional. Thanks! Can't wait to catch you next time you come to Oregon BTW.
Very massive!
Such sidechain!!!
That’s bring me the horizon 👀 my mind is blown, I am happy
Niceee. If it's possible can you like make a tutorial for the songs in your Sugar Rush EP (a bits of it at least). All of your tutorial have been very helpful for me and others for sure. Thankss man 👍
Please release the song with the melodic chords soon, it sounds AMAZING
Jaaaa endlich ein deutscher dubstep Produzent 👾

who honestly cares xD ik you where just pointing it out, but get a group of 5 producers in a room, all if not 4 of them use cracked software
The yeah at 4:12 is a good growl
You're the best virtual riot :)
I love wat u do, srsly
This was so dope man! Is there any way you can show us how you get your growls to modulate so perfectly and smoothly? Cheeeers
Love the german accident ;)
Btw keep these videos up, I really enjoyed it!
german accident xD
Hey that was really helpful.. the reverb cutting out as the chords hit, how you sound designed that growl with ableton effects, and your explanation of ozone was really good. I have a question.. when you sound design the growl, do you already have an idea of what effects you're going to use and the order, etc? or do you take it one step at a time? orrr maybe something in between? Thanks
Thanks for the video(expecially mastering)...do you use only iZotope or some other plugin for the mastering?
P.S. sorry for this question, but which program do you use for recording desktop?? thanks :D
Love you so much!
Thank you, Valentin! Wrote two pages of notes down for mastering xD
To make these amazing songs
Now I know where that knowledge was crafted!
Yup, i’m here in quarantine in 2020
I would like to know more about the Ozone Fundamentals and more in depth mastering tips!
Does anyone know what the other two nexus layers he used for the pluck are?
;_; been looking for a tutorial on this since i heard your astronaut remix, ty i love you
Hahaha ich hab mir schon gedacht dass du Sytrus benutzt.... Best Plugin ever!und Vocodex darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen ;)
Bro....u are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"BMTH - Can you feel my heart (acapella)"
Very useful + inspiring!
Love you man.
Sehr geil! Vielleicht kannst du ja irgendwann wieder mal etwas von deinem Konservatorium zeigen! :) Wie ihr dort übt, aufnehmt und inwiefern du es zu deinem (privaten) Vorteil nutzt! :)
God damn that growl in the beginning
very interesting man!
Damn dude, the only thing I never really understood was the formant EQ macroing, that was pro af lol. But the lion roaring... now that I thought about and wanted to try but, you just clarified to me that yes, animal rawrs are great for vocoding >:3
This absolutely amazing! I'm glad to hear your story about music school as well!
yes very Cool!
Very helpful! :D

you are awesome, thank you
+Virtual Riot
Since youtube is now normalizing all the audio to -13 LUFS (just recently) Do you bear that in mind when mixing & mastering?
Greetings, love your music and studio time!
I just hope to get as good as u and work with u one day. AWESOME #staycreative
YOU ARE A GENIUS :D
Can you recommend proper (somewhat cheap) music equipment for a beginning producer? I noticed in I believe your first studio time you had what I'm assuming is an electronic keyboard that seemed really nice. Just some advice in general on equipment would be equally helpful.
