My fav part of his is the bridge in White Hot where he's basically soloing, getting more and more frantic by the second. Technically impressive af while at the same time adding more of that intense vibe every Loathe song has.
As a drummer of 20 years, 5 months and 3 days- not that I’m counting, but this drummer is a fucking gift to rock music, metal, and the drumming community itself.

This band is musically way more interesting than anything people are comparing them to. I'm hearing djent, shoegaze, post-grunge, dembow, alt metal, indstrial, post hardcore, and progressive metalcore all in this one track (throw songs like White Hot in the mix and you can add r&b to that list). I love Deftones, but calling this band another Deftones is an injustice. You can't put Loathe in a box.
A lot of Deafheaven too. People need to also realize their first album and two eps are just as versatile as you said. True artists.
Their music is also more complex than deftones

This album is probably the weirdest stuff I've heard in a while. It just... It's like a fever dream. It whips you from black metal screams to cleans and then back again really quick which creates this strange feeling of being in freezing cold water instead of the hot aggressive feeling that metalcore and this sort of thing normally exudes. Really cool.

not only the music, but the art|video aesthetic is incredibly amazing... love this minimalistic design... pure feeling.
Some of those digital effects make the music feel like it is getting hammered down and manhandled against its will, feeling very aggressive while not going over that fine line into making music too obscure to be discernible. That’s very hard to do and it feels so right with this track. I’m officially hooked onto this band and can’t wait for new material, like holy shit I’m pumped🤘
