    I have been telling people this for many years. I do not really study to be a lawyer, but I study the language of law because it affects everything. Business, finance, real estate, insurance, medicine is the language of law. Everything is affected by law.. great vid..it should be mandatory for the first year of law to be taught before a person can graduate high school...

    Amazing video !! As a law student with varying interests aside being a lawyer, it often gets irritating when people start addressing me as a lawyer or a Judge just for the fact that I read law in college and not because I've been called to the bar 😂😂.
    Definitely sharing this video. People need enlightenment.🥂

    This is so enlightening, exactly what I need. I want to study law but not practice it.I don"t think law practice is for me. I was scared , thoughts that I might be wasting my time and life diving into something Like this , I had thoughts of applying for another course at the university but my interest in it won't allow me. I hope to find my ground while studying law. This is so helpful and encouraging. Thank you

    Cool video. I still think you would make a fine lawyer. The way you speak. Still go to law school even if you won't be going to court

    Hello April! I too agree that anyone can study law and it would behoove them to do so. Do you have any recommendations for the first Book/ course/ CZcams channel to use first?

    Please how did you prepare for your course before entering uni? Did you join any prep classes?

    • @AprilN
      @AprilN  Před 3 lety

      No please. I did not take any prep classes or prepare in any way really; I started university completely unprepared. I have personally never heard of anyone going for classes, neither have I heard of any classes for that. I think what you might be thinking about is the Ghana Law School (Makola) prep classes which most ppl take to be better prepared for the entrance exam into Makola.

    I have studied law as an apprentice at a law firm. However,I want to pull out,in my experience most lawyers are toxic, courtrooms are toxics and I can't live my life surrounded by all that toxicity!

    I disagree. I studied law although I didn‘t want to sit all day but my parents.. you know the rest. The effect it had on me was, that - supressing my natural interest im other fields - I got totally numb and lost connection to my own feelings and core wants. Many years later and working in a different working field where I am moving my body and thus are more connected to myself I recently read out of curiosity again some old book of my law lectures and that was when I realised that TO kNOw your will and what you want is the BASIC prerequisite to be a legally responsable person. So don‘t do it if you don‘t want to spend hours sitting and reading. This is bs advice.
