see how many times snsd is always the last performer , ending credits almost always in their performances during their peak which is rare during their time coz it's usually the boy groups , soloists.. As well as their special performances, they had special programs just for them to showcase their comeback or just for christmas celebrations.. waaa really miss it.. the countless fanboys too naming them as their favorite girl group and ideal types. They were the "GIRLS" in that Generation 💕👏

While it's true that a hundreds of girl groups and boys groups had already debuted after them. Some of them still active until now, others disbanded and inactive. Some are currently making waves internationally and the new crowds favorite, but im still glad that 11 years after the public interest on them is still there and unwavering. It's not easy for a group let alone a girl group, would last this long and still be relevant and active on the music. Their comeback is still one of the most anticipated in the industry. Not only that the group had survived the 7 yrs cursed mark, even though they lost one member along the way they still managed to continue as an 8 membered group, but also impressively and individually, the girls had able to create a name of their own. I don't know any girl group of their generations who became not only successful as a group but also individually.
I think girls generation is one of the greatest group and artists that the kpop industry had produced. The impact and legacy that they made and left was truly staggering. During their golden era, not only that they were able to defeat and dominated the girl groups but also the boy groups. Something that the new and current generations of Girl Groups wasn't able to do. SNSD was the torch bearer and one of the pioneers of the first Hallyu wave around the world. Not only a Kpop Icon but also a Cultural Icon as well. The amount of pride that i have for the group and each of them (OT9) and as a SONE even though i only started stanning them 5 months ago, was on the roof. And im so glad and proud that they are the only girl group that I've stan and the second kpop artists that I've stan, DBSK (OT5) being the first. 👏👏👏👏

I remember that show - Girls go to School I think. SNSD was close to tears because the audience thought them a dance group, I mean it can be construed as a compliment on their dance skills - being called a dance group, but they have high pride on their vocals, they're Idol Singers first and foremost, dancing is bonus. Im amazed how in their early performances (itnw & gg) they only sing with the instrumental. No backtracks or whatsoever like with today's performances. Thats why its so hard to know which groups are good at live and who's not. Some groups cant even sing properly during their encore stages.

Jessica training for 7 years, Taeyeon commuting between Seoul and her hometown during trainee period, Tiffany not having her family around, the entire group getting black ocean, Taeyeon going through that close kidnapping, etc. Fans talk about how their groups go through hardships never knew what it actually was for 2nd gen groups. DBSK having that whole fiasco about members, SJ and their members, Big bang and their scandals.

한시간 40분동안 홀린듯이 봤다.... 소녀시대는 역시 9명일때 가장 완전하고 멋진거같다... 나중에.. 회사 같은 문제 없어질때쯤 9명이서 모여서 소원을 위한 콘서트 한번 해주면 좋겠다... 그럴 날이 오긴 힘들겠지만 늦덕으로서 저 아름답고 멋진 그룹을 내 눈으로 온전히 본 적 없다는 사실이 너무 아쉽게 느껴진다...
I love how simple and natural Kpop was back when they debuted. There was no back track and you could hear them sing live. Their costumes were so simple and their makeup (if any) was so natural looking. I also love idols today, but back then you could see more of their natural flaws and relate more. (You can also see their natural darker skin color) They weren't so perfect looking :) and their look is more attainable for viewers (I hope it made sense, this is not meant to sound like shade or anything).

I agree. Times were different then, there were way fewer groups so the competition to stand out wasn’t as fierce. Nowadays there are 100+ idol groups so the competition to be the palest, the skinniest, etc is bigger. And cameras nowadays have filters on them to make idols look paler.
Well, groups back then also used to lip-sync but it was very obvious if they were lip-syncing, as it is exactly the same as the studio version, while there was was no/minimal backtrack for live performances. Nowadays, you never know if it was pre-recorded or actually live.

SNSD is the only girl group whose members can shine individually. They have their own colors and talents. The group has actresses, models, singers, dancers, designer, etc. And the combination of their personalities is what made me into a Sone. ❤️

I noticed that too and I also realized SNSD is probably the only girl group who isn't known for just having 1 popular member such as miss A = Suzy, EXID = Hani, 4Min = Hyuna, 2NE1 = CL, After School = Kahi or maybe Nana but idk, etc. They shine as a GROUP and shine INDIVIDUALLY. 💕

These shows how lucky kpop groups now cause before even how hard the dance is they need to hold a mic and sing live because people are so judgemental to artist lipsync but now everything is not that harsh in performing on stages

I love Girls Generation soooooo much, it is the first girl group that I got to know, these girls are AMAZING no jokes they are the best, it is now 2020 and many people think Girls Generation isn't the hype anymore but NOOO!!! They will always be the queen and be the legend, I also like other groups too like BLACKPINK, GFRIEND, but none of them can surpass Girls Generation (at least in my heart) I love them so much I cannot express how much I love them, they brought me so so so much joy, thank you all so much, lots of love
