- On August 23rd Mallard Creek (NC) traveled to South Carolina to play Dutch Fork as part of the GEICO High School Football Kickoff.
Unfortunately due to multiple weather delays, the game ultimately ended in a tie at 27-27, but not before some great highlights.
Dutch Fork's 2020 quarterback Ty Olenchuk (Clemson baseball recruit) threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns including three to 2020 WR Jalin Hyatt (Tennessee recruit).
Mallard Creek’s dual RB-LB threat, ESPN #111 Trenton Simpson, (Auburn recruit) rushed for 182 yards including an 81-yard TD. - Sport
All the Texas and Cali teams get the love but it’s eight Nationally ranked teams in the Carolinas. Kudos to espn for taking note.

The single biggest issue on that trick play in the first was the WR stopped running as soon as he got wide open for some reason if he would have kept running it would have been a perfect throw

They were easily the second best team in NC, only team that could beat them last year was the team they lost to in Playoffs .. By comparison, the team that beat Mallard Creek by an inch steamrolled everyone else in the playoffs.
