  • Heading to Galloway, Alistair and Douglas took in stunning views across Southern Scotland from the summit of the Corbett Cairnsmore of Carsphairn. With Merrick clearly visible for most of the day this walk is said to have views of the highest points in Scotland, England and Wales on a clear day with Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon on the horizons.

Good to see you both out again. Wont lie, it's been a while since I have donned my walking boots!

Thanks Jason! It’s easy to fall out of the swing of things when life takes priority but I think we should be good going forward from here. A few videos already lined up and a few walks to keep them going too.

I think you have a wee bit of time before it becomes tougher at that part! Thanks for watching!

It was a great wander in the sun, just wish it wasn’t so windy! I’d be really curious to see if Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell are visible from it on a clear day like the wee notice board suggests.

That forestry area was interesting. So those are all going to be trees?

I believe so. Almost all of the area from the start up until we walk through the gate had small saplings growing. On neighbouring hills you can see slightly larger ones which I imagine will be cut down once they are larger.
