    The chronological order of Paul's epistles was always a topic of high interest while I was in Bible College. I wish they had covered this in-depth. Thanks for scratching where I itched, David.

    I am so very thankful for this teaching. I can't ignore the timing, as I'm now studying why the Pauline epistles are sequenced as they are, given that it isn't chronological. As David stated, it's not random, coincidental or accident that these details are presented in scripture. I'm leaning heavily on 2 Tim 3:16, 1 Cor 13:9-13 & Col 1:22-23 as guides, suggesting this sequence is vital to our progression & spiritual development, as the saints at Corinth were very immature while the Thessalonians are quite developed... Once again, rightly dividing the word of truth.

    Oh nice I've been trying to learn how the order of Paul's epistles were written in relation to the book of acts ...this will probably be helpful

    I am in grade school here, and your gracious and kind teaching ways have helped me very much.
    May I ask why was Paul put in prison 2 times in Rome then beheaded? What law did he break to receive such a punishment from the Roman govt? Thank you for all your teachings. God bless you very much.

      @linwoodkent1246 Thanks for watching and for the very kind comment. As to what Paul did to deserve to be put to death, the answer seems to be nothing (Acts 25:11). Sometimes what happens is the powers that be grow weary of believers and decide to do away with them whether they have a valid reason or not. That is just how life on this earth works, but even if that happens, no big deal as we just go to heaven sooner. Thanks for the comment. Alleluia.

    David,
    In your studies, have you found that, for instance The Scofield reference bible or other sources , contradict the "dating" by which you teach?
    Regardless, your approach of comparing scripture with a scripture is exemplary .

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  Před 8 měsíci +2

      @johnparkhurst825 Our experience has been that most dating systems focus on the numerical year, which they have no way of knowing. That is why different study bibles give different numerical answers. It seems to us far more worthwhile to focus on what the scripture reveals about when different books were written.

    Hyper technical or hyper illustrative? I chose the later ❤

      Why does peter lay blame on the "house of Israel" and not the "house of Judah"? Acts 2:36

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  Před rokem

      @forsaken apostle Judah (the southern two tribes) is often included within the meaning of Israel (which can refer to either the northern ten tribes or all twelve tribes). Hope this helps.

    Great study brother David. I have never trusted secular scholars with dates regarding epistles & biblical events since they seem prolific in the notes of corrupted modern bibles.
    Question: Is there any application of the information in this video that affects our understanding of the mid-acts dispensational view of the doctrines for the body of Christ?
    Thank you.

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  Před rokem +1

      @dalhuset There are a number of ramifications that follow from knowing when Paul's different epistles were written. One notable observation is that all of Paul's epistles were written post Acts 15. Thus, irrespective of the the particular Mid-Acts view that one adopts (e.g., Acts 9, Acts 13), all of Paul's epistles are written subsequently. Grace.

      @@ColumbusBibleChurch Haha, Just watch out for that Acts 28 view, right?

    • @jk11222
      @jk11222 Před rokem +1

      This info sure stumps those who hold the Acts 28 position. They can’t explain how it was possible for Paul to have written epistles to the body of Christ prior to Acts 28 if the body of Christ only existed after Acts 28.

  • @jhacassia29
    @jhacassia29 Před rokem

    How do you expalain this?
    Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
    Paul makes it clear that it is the SAME gospel that was preached to these Hebrews that was preached to those who fell in the wilderness in the day of Moses

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  Před rokem

      @jheddah Nosne It is true that good news was preached unto them, but it was not the same good news. Show me in any of Moses's books where the preaching of the Lord's death, burial and resurrection occurs.

    • @jhacassia29
      @jhacassia29 Před rokem

      @@ColumbusBibleChurch hello brother I am not arguing about it, Im just asking what kind of good news they ( ISRAELITES) received? I know the fact that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is a mystery unto them( Jews).
      Just wondering what kind of goodnews they received- Is this the same gospel as Romans 1:16?
      For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  Před rokem

      @jheddah Nosne I would think about this according to Heb 11. All of the saints mentioned therein had faith, but the content of the faith differed at different times because they received different revelation. Hope this helps.
