Few songs in gaming carry the energy of "finish the fight" like this one does.

The fact the game begins with a song with a title that goes as hard as "Farde Mal Diavolo" just lets you know that you're in for an awesome time. Game may have a relatively standard plot, but I am loving it. Sometimes you don't need to reinvent the wheel entirely, just make a very good wheel.

The game really is excellent. The only thing that could've taken it even further, is post-game content support. You collect a lot of awesome units and equipment by the end of game, but there's nowhere to use them due to lack of post-game content. The PvP collesium are just one-on-one fights, kind of wished there were more post-game maps to fight in.

@@winghong3 I agree, the end really left me craving for more. But that's just how you feel at the end of a great game, I suppose.

@@Anonymous-ld7je It's not often, but some games just YEARN for extra content. I'd slap down money for DLC in an instant.

My only criticism is that you should have been pushed out of cornia after scarlet’s rescue and had to conquer and unite the other nations before returning. Missed units would still be there with harder missions and higher leveled.
It just makes no sense that zenoira allows you to completely surround the capital

    • @Anonymous-ld7je

@@firenze6478 I agree it's a bit strange, but in context of the game's lore it makes much more sense. Galerius cares very little about holding onto plots of land; he's not a traditional conqueror. He wants to break the seal on "The Beyond" and reincarnate every single soul of the ancient Zenorian empire. Fighting over land does nothing to advance that goal, and is actually a distraction.
So, staying safe in the heavily fortified capital and working on breaking the sigil makes (made) way more sense than sallying out to battle the liberation army. Fighting that battle was a risk with no reward for Galerius; Baltro wanted it even less since he truly didn't care whatsoever about Zenoira and only wanted to break the seal for his own selfish gains. Either way, defeating the liberation didn't matter much. Galerius/Baltro/Zenoira would be invincible once the sigil was broken; that's what mattered to them.
The liberation army "feels" really weak narratively in the early game, but is actually pretty powerful relatively speaking. Very few ancient Zenoria generals and warriors have been placed into a vessel yet (even late game it's still not that many) and Galerius is actually felled in battle at the end of chapter 1. He needs a powerup from Baltro's voo-doo magic to be able to match the liberation army and Alain.
For the non-vessel (yet) everyday soldiers serving in the Zenoiran army, it's actually a tough situation logistically. They have to garrison the entire known world, spreading their forces thin, and they have very little to no local support. In fact, in almost every region they're already dealing with local rebellions and resistance when the liberation army shows up.
The liberation army suffers none of those logistical issues. They don't have to dedicate forces to garrisoning anywhere; they're immediately returning the land to control of the locals after victory, aka liberation... Also, not only do they not have to deal with any rebellions, they have widespread, nearly universal worldwide support.
People all over are pretty much falling over themselves to support the liberation army in any way possible, and even join. Zenoira suffers attrition with every battle, meanwhile the liberation actually gets stronger, because they absorb some of the locals of each liberated area into their ranks with every victory.
That's a really long answer, but I completely understand your point and felt the same way through the first 2/3 of the game. After the end and seeing what goals Galerius and Baltro had it made way more sense, though.
My main criticism at first was when the liberation first landed in Cornia, I was thinking, "Well if he's so powerful, and he's nearby, why doesn't Galerius himself ride out and crush these rebels?". Well, turns out he did do that pretty quickly. And he lost, actually.
