Enjoy every chance you get to go fishing with your father. Weeks before my dads passing he promised we had alot more fishing to do.. I now take his tackle box with me everytime I go. Rip dad, you'll forever be missed.

When you're into fishing, there's just something spectacular about catching the " big one". Few things make it better than fishing with my sons and grandsons.

Awesome fish! Had a guy tell me years ago the best fishing he ever had was in a small lake/large pond on an island in Lake Michigan. Giant bass, bluegill the size of dinner plates, etc. Wonder if it was like your pond. It was Garden Island in the Beaver Island Archipelago in Lake Michigan. Technically you're allowed to go camp and fish on it, but it's just super hard to get to and I guess at certain times of the year the flies and mosquitos are aweful. I've eyeballed it many times on Google Earth. Now I'm going to imagine the fishing is like your video.
Ty congratulations on the success of your channel you make some the best videos ever my friend but the ones that I love the most are the bluegill videos and I just went and bought some mister twister micro craws it seems like the bull bluegills love those little craws

I live on a 27 acre lake in Michigan and I've never seen a bluegill that f'in big! Wow, it's gotta be the warmer weather and lastly my grandma would be in heaven if she had these bad boys to filet

I remember catching bucketfuls of them off a pier in the 70's, at Lake Petite in Northern Illinois. One after another, using a bamboo cane pole. I was like 13-14 years old. Even bigger than these.

My dad taught me how to fish but over the years I fish like ten times as much as he does so I can relate to taking my dad fishing and showing him the ropes. Sometimes his pride won’t let him follow my advice though then he gets frustrated that I out fish him. Haha good times

Those are some of the biggest red-eared sunfish I've ever seen I like these ones here where your sight fishing them cuz it's it's cool as hell when you get to see that fish go in there and take your bait

We got'em in the mighty St Johns River down here in Florida that big all day long. We call'um Copperhead bream.' We've got black crappie long as a cinder block. We call'um Speckled perch or just specks. They're my favorite for fried fish sandwiches.

There’s a place me and a old man my best friend would go fish at a certain time of the year and catch them red ears that would weigh 2lbs easy if not over 2lbs. He’s passed away now I don’t fish as much as I used to in them places. The place is part of Dale Hollow Lake. Be safe brother and your dad GOD BLESS y’all Amen 🙏

Hey when you’re fishing with those micro craws are you giving them action or just letting them fall slowly and also I hear you say use a 1/50 oz jig but those are hard to find and will 1/64oz work just as good

Hybrids? Pft, I know a tilapia when I see one ;) But seriously those fish were so damn impressive. THICK and tall. When a bluegill can fight like a bass you know it's a good time.
I caught a huge bluegill over 2 pounds below a waterfall. It was white as a sheet so I thought it was a drum. It's amazing the different colors they are in FL they are almost black. Try not to lip them you van break their jaws.

I think maybe it’s easier to set the hook when you can’t see the fish and are only feeling by site. When you’re site fishing you’re probably setting the hook too early. If you’re doing it by feel by the time you feel the fish on the line that fish has it in its mouth for a while, relatively.
