In what is probably their best game of the season to date, the Rangers came back late with 0.9 seconds left to tie is versus Dallas with a K'Andre Miller goal, then stormed into OT with a hard nosed goal by Adam Fox. LETS GO RANGERS

I traveled to New York and got to go to MSG for a playoff game, back in their cup run of 2014 I think it was. It's the loudest most energetic crowd I've ever experienced.
The audio quality between both broadcast is immense. I can FEEL the energy from the MSG cast, but the Bally cast feels much more subdued.
Let's give kudos to the Stars' broadcasters. While there is a bit of explainable "homer" in all broadcasts., after frequently listening to the incredible homers that broadcast Caps, Bruins and Islanders, these guys behaved liked true professionals...well done!
Josh Bogorad is an excellent broadcaster. He used to be the play-by-play announcer for my hometown Alaska Aces, and was easily the most professional in the minor leagues in that time. I'm not surprised that he called this so well despite the craziness.
I was going to post something similar. I hope that Josh Bogorad goes a long way in his career.

As terrible as Jack Edwards is, he actually has more emotion than most announcers when the opposing team scores. But yes, I agree

Since ‘94 😮 I almost forgot about that special season a 5 years old boy noticed a rangers winning the cups and Knicks just came close to a title the Yankees would probably had been in the World Series if the strike didn’t happen

I love to hear the other teams broadcasters acknowledge the fans at the Garden. It's always a factor when teams come to MSG to play the Rangers they talk about the fun environment and how excited they are to play here. To hear the broadcasters acknowledge it also is a really cool thing 😎
Dallas had great announcers, so does Edmonton, Toronto, Chicago, and Minnesota.
Being in the crowd for a Rangers goal at MSG sounds like it'd be fun.
What a game! Says so much about the fans too, stayed until the very last second. And cheered the team to a victory! LGR!
Miller has been absolute clutch for NY
When I was a kid, in Dec 1998, I watched the Rangers win a very similar game at home vs the Florida Panthers on a goal in the final second of play to force overtime, then they won in overtime. John Davidson compared it to the Miracle on 34th Street. It instantly became my favorite ending to a hockey game I had ever seen. I loved it. And Sam Rosen was on the call for that one, it was at MSG. It had all the magic. 25 years later, this game feels just as great as that one did.
I was young but I remember that game as well. NHL Tonight mentioned it after the game.

So..Stars fan now, I live in Dallas and have since 1996. BUT growing up the first hockey team I cheered for was the Rangers as they were always on WOR on our cable company. When they won in 1994, I was cheering madly for them and still have great memories. A sports bucket list for me is to come to a game at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers will forever have a place in my heart

Looking forward to Habs Rangers N Red Wings regaining their dominance in the leauge (Hawks & Bruins had their push, Bruins maybe last push and maybe the Leafs can finally get it together, or not, either way, Canadian teams + OG 6 > rest of NHL for me.

Everything that could have went wrong for the Stars went wrong and everyone that could have went right for the Rangers went COMPLETELY right
this is why home broadcast is soooo important, i hate the fact we go to national broadcast in the playoffs. exception was Doc Emry who is the goat....

As a long time NY Rangers fan, it's great to see them pull out games on last minute heroics. However, that type of ply will not work in the playoffs. They're going to need to be better to make a deep run in the playoffs.

like my team out of all teams.. just capped off a shitty week man... its still GO stars and were still winning the cup..but im not gon lie and i dont mean to bring race but the irony of it. like i get flack as black man because i love hockey and then a black man make the game tying goal against my guys and .02, my number at that.. and then last night i was watching emotional times in hockey by jen95 and idk why but martin st.louis on mothers day man.. that guy was one of my all time favorites and im so mad he and lundqvist didnt win a cup in NY.. ngl i lowkey got some love for the rangers.. and yaw bet not get rid of zibenajad. that mf is the truth.

Adam Fox might be the best player to ever wear a Ranger's jersey... seriously. His composure is such at an elite level it's hard to fathom. Check out the angle at 13:50, and pause just as Fox receives the pass. 99%+ of the league would instantly shoot that. But Fox has the balls to fake everyone out and pull it to his backhand and chuck it in for an easy win. Obviously Heiskanen doesn't have a stick in this situation, but Fox makes the same exact plays many times a night. It's incredible to watch.

Great analysis. He CONSTANTLY makes the right decisions almost at a micro level. Watching him night in and night out, he's probably the best defenseman in the world.
