Just curious...it's obvious you're doing this for someone. Yes the clutch plates look pretty good, but going through all that and not replacing the clutch plates at this time? The cost can't be that much more to go ahead and replace those parts, while you're in there.

I'm getting ready to completely rebuild My 70' Daytona, (If I ever return to work) It's always seemed a little short on 2nd gear to Me. I was thinking about changing the ratio and just leaving the primary & counter sprockets, as well as rear wheel stock. I was also considering making 4th taller at the same time. Do You have any suggestions as to do's & don'ts, When it comes to this? Or would I be better off to just go taller on the counter sprocket as You've done here?

Gears on the 4 speed 350/500 series can only be changed in sets of 4. You can have standard, close, or wide ratio. Gearbox parts are stupidly expensive. You're best off changing the output sprocket, tire, etc for taller final drive.
You MAY be able to mix/match gears but they tooth profiles will not match so they will jam or quickly wear through the case hardening.
