    I have no clue what any of that means, Billy. Hey! I'm deaf!! WTF do I know about sound? ;)
    Now my oldest daughter would probably get all glassy-eyed over this.
    Keep Loving!

    Thank you for the amazing informative video Billy.. now that the IRIG Stream Pro is out too.. would you be doing a similar video on that
    I have been struggling with a problem statement and I wonder if I can use IRIG stream or stream pro (the new one).. so here is what I am trying to do.. i regularly sing on a karaoke app called Smule as it has some good audio filters and all karaoke tracks.. I currently use the IRIG Pro I/O connected to my ipad and the XLR mic along with Sony MDR 7506 studio headphones connected to the IRIG pro.. using this setup - I am able to play the karaoke tracks on the Smule app and sing along using my xlr mic while using Smule's wonderful audio filters and I get the live feedback from the app via IRIG pro i/o into my Sony headphones
    For quite sometime - I have been thinking about how do I continue using this app for its karaoke tracks and audio filters but somehow get that sound into another iphone or ipad maybe by using something as irig stream and then broadcast it live using prism studio and green screen/chroma key.. I also happen to have a behringer1204x mixer if that can somehow come in handy.
    So basically - if I am singing on ipad1 using the Smule app (maybe using my irig pro, xlr mic and headphone) but somehow send the signal to another ipad (maybe via irig stream or irig stream pro) and then play that sound along with my video with green screen/chroma key effect using the prism live app on Facebook or CZcams or Instagram live (from my 2nd ios device)

    Hello! Question, so you don't have to load any application on the phone when you do live stream? Cause usually the phone microphone is the one picking up the sound

    Very cool video! Do you have any experience with these devices vs the 1/8 inch devices? Are the USB devices that much better in quality?

    • @billydeespodcast
      @billydeespodcast  Před 3 lety

      I don’t know that I have a clear cut answer for you, it depends on the electronics and the grade of the interface. All things considered a quality USB interface will give you more control than a pass through adapter.

    Btw, you could actually use the record rca to phone with some cable adapter (eg dual rca to 3.5mm trs cable + trs to trrs adapter + usb-c to 3.5mm dongle for new android/ipad pro) instead of using irig right?

    Do you know if you do a reel or remix in Instagram with the iRig stream on an iPhone, does it record in mono or stereo?

    Hi there, I'm trying to do a setup for an exercise class using the Irig, but struggling. Using ipad with the loop back, I need to connect a Trantec head mic and need to feed the sound to an external speaker. Any help gratefully appreciated 🙏

      I’m not sure I can give you specifically a cure for your exact needs. Generally, if I need live sound and a mic I would probably go with a small sound mixer for the performance aspect. Then run a line out of the mixer for streaming with the iPad as with my video. Hope that helps.

    Hi There, i have a IRIG Stream, it's all ok, the general record/stream sound is good, but it has some annoying clicking kind of noise behind. Been trying to solve it regulanting the levels (gain and so on) but still there. Any idea how to solve this? thanks.

    • @billydeespodcast
      @billydeespodcast  Před 3 lety

      I’m sorry I don’t have a specific recommendation. Clicking can often be associated with a conflicting sample rate. Another possibility may be the power source of one of your devices. I would also close all the other apps, in PCs for example, a busy processor can cause clicks. Hope that helps.

    hello,,,what apps would you use on the Phone,,,,so that you can measure the Audio meter,,thank you

    • @billydeespodcast
      @billydeespodcast  Před 2 lety +1

      There's a video app called Filmic Pro that gives you levels and a dedicated audio one called Voice Record. I'm sure there are many but those are the two in the video.

  • @SindicatoAntiNormalidadTV

    Great video! Is it possible to use speakers at the same time for monitoring purposes? If so, how would you recommend doing it?

    • @billydeespodcast
      @billydeespodcast  Před 3 lety

      I’m not much for using speakers for live monitoring. They introduce feedback issues etc. I prefer headsets. Monitors are great, however, for editing.

    Billy, great video. Would love to know if it still works on Facebook Live 2021. Bought mine in March 2020 and its been flaky at best. Great sound when it does- but these days it just deos not work with an iPhone of Facebook.

    • @billydeespodcast
      @billydeespodcast  Před 3 lety

      At this time I haven’t tried it on FB Live. My question would be if this is the only app that you have this issue with?

    • @nathandeansings

      @@billydeespodcast Currently I don't use the unit of any other platform. I have used the iRig Stream App to record videos - it's a little unstable doing that but when it works it's great. I don't use their app for live streaming (maybe I should try it). I am still using it on Facebook Live 2021 and the Sundays I've used it on so far it only failed completely on one show. This is without the iRig Stream app opened at all. I have found that to get a stream going you have to hit "Go Live" BFORE you connect the iRig Stream. Connecting the iRig Stream before going live for some reason the unit stays idle when you hit "Go Live" - i.e. fails.

      I’m not familiar with your app, but is it the only app you have an issue with? If it is I would start there first in terms of capability.

      I seen that some apps might not support stereo so try changing the mono switch to on. Hopefully that helps
