I just want to comment that you pointed out something no one else has done reacting to this song. That is, how the lyrics are made, turning this into a confession that SHE is a bad valentine. I love that too, and didn`t expect that. It`s so refreshing and different. Her vocals, her emotive abilities, and her talent stand out by itself, and I can`t find the right words anymore to describe how amazing she is. A few devoted angels went to Toby Gad's show in LA last night, even though Angelina was still in Europe. They got to chat with Toby who said he is working on a concert with Angelina, in the LA area. He didn't specify any time frame. Angelina has hinted of new songs coming in September, followed by a number of concerts. Plenty to look forward to. "Bad Valentine" is an awesome start to new originals from Angelina and Toby.
Angelina opens with sass, reminds me of Diamond, Lovin You, and It’s A Man’s World! She just showcased the audience her vocal abilities effortlessly! The best story teller of this generation period! 🇳🇴🇺🇸 Toby Gad gave James Thiel permission to post this on CZcams prior to the release of the song! It’s not on her channel because it has not been officially released! Angelina stated in a recent interview in Norway that new material will be coming out in September and more concerts are upcoming! She also performed at a private event in Spain after her London performances!

Hi Maria, as you have watched Angelina for the past years and reacted to her quite a few times, you realize that her influences growing up were jazz, soul and classic singers. The song is really one of the first originals that combines so many of them into one. I hear Amy Winehouse, I hear some Adele, I hear Aretha and Ella. Even Billie Holiday. Angelina's style, tone, and delivery make this song very special. In my opinion and the opinion of many, this will be her best releases to date. Angelina definitely poured out her soul on this one . As for whether this is autobiographical, we are not certain, but we do know that she keeps a daily journal and gets inspiration from her entries. The first I saw of her was "I Put A Spell On You" when she was just this tiny barefoot girl. Its neat watching her grow up. With very young artists thats half the fun. In all seriousness shes one of the best jazz voices in a generation, its what I appreciate most about her. Great reaction!

I loved this. Loved her voice, and fully expected to. She made this song. But, I did want to shout out to the people playing the violin and cello. They were getting some real music out of their instruments and I noticed them right away.

If this represents what their collaborative efforts in co-writing, new songs are going to be like we are all in for some real treats. She just kills this with her powerful and expressive vocal performance. She needs to expand her audience into a younger generation because many of her current mega fans will, like me, likely be gone by the time she hits thirty. And she will still be in the early days of her career at that age. I wish I could live another fifty years so that I could see what she will achieve. A lot of her fans are having a problem separating the person from the artist with these lyrics. These are the same type of people who think if an actress plays the roles of a woman with bad morals, she must be like that in real life, or if they play a surgeon on TV surely they could fill in if there were an emergency, actors laugh at that when asked that question! Jordan is merely playing a role while on stage, and she’s been doing it better than anyone else since she was seven years old! Emotional story teller on stage, little kid off stage, quite a gift!

Who is the bad Valentine? Every good story is about development of the characters, preferably with a twist or realization on the way. While in the beginning it sounds like Angelina as the protagonist is cold and bad, we find out as we listen that it is not the case. She wants passion, fire and honesty. He is insincere, dispassionate and somewhat self absorbed - sees/hears only what he wants to see and hear, therefore will never really know her. If all passion is lost on his world, who is the bad Valentine?
Angelina is an outstanding story teller. Don't expect to get the whole story from the first verse. I always await an unfolding tale and allow myself to be taken on her journey.
