Pakistan ended Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka with a dominating score of 563 runs and lost 5 wickets in the process. Pakistan entered the second and final Test of the series after a stunning victory in the first Test by four wickets.

I know that Babar Azam is one of the best in the world, Saud Shakeel has Bradman kind of stats in tests till now and Abdullah Shafique is also class but this guy Agha Salman looks like something else.Whenever I see the scorecard, he is always batting on 50+ or reaching towards a 50.He comes at no. 6 but seems like a top order batter.Pakistan has found a gem in Agha.

From my perspective agha salman kept more contribution than safiq. His rapid score have compensated the damage of rain(2nd day) and help pak to get a sure victory.

At one point Abdullah had around half the runs of the team. He has made sure Pakistan wont lose and has left two days for the team to bowl SL out. How is that palying for himself (whatever that means in this case when he batted at a SR of 61), is beyond me. If we cant manage to bowl SL out from here, we dont deserve to win.
And Agha had the luxury to bat like this because of Abdullah. By the time he came out, SL were in the field for around 90 overs and were 180 behind. Their main spinner had bowled a marathon and only had one wicket to show for it. Compare the spin the spinners were getting yesterday and in the morning session to what was happening in the evening session today. They couldn't be more different.

Sri Lankan Test bowling is one dimensional it has slowly been exposed in the recent past and Pakistan has cracked the code. The SL batting has always been shaky in the recent past and this series culminated these two key weaknesses. Also, poor captaincy and strategising from the coaching staff, which again is one dimensional.
Thanks to Pakistan I think SL will learn a very sobering lesson after this series, on how to be better at playing in home conditions.
The top order needs a revamp, the bowling needs a bit more depth and variety.
Well done to Pakistan who have done exceptionally well and keeps proving the doubters wrong on why they are in fact a formidable cricketing nation with deep seeded talent and execution.

@@mohsinali3342 the home game plan is always try and get runs on the board and attack with spinners. Pakistan has played the spinners brilliantly, counter attacking like almost an ODI level innings early, throwing the spinners off line and length. There’s no plan B, Lankan pace is not up to the quality of Pakistan, never has been. There’s minimal options when it comes to bowling in the Lankan attack apart form the full time bowlers, which is a detriment to any modern Test squad.
Captaincy has been very up and down, down more than up. Also it doesn’t help the top order can’t get any rhythm to give the middle order to accumulate runs.
