This is a perfect representation of the main two types of players in any card game. Zach is reading the cards abilities and Steven is reading the cards lore.

What a great series! Thank you guys for doing it. Hope to see some constructed thematic battles in 2022! This video showed the classic story of the empire under estimating the tenacity of a seemingly weaker rebel force. So good!

LORD VADER! Might be my favorite card. When the game was at its end my friend and me bought out the rest of the packs our local card shop had. We opened them all in the parking lot and I pulled him! By far my best pull ever and may very well be my favorite card ever! Keep the videos coming! I’ll tune in every time.

Finally finished the series, been catching up on the last half of the episodes over the last week or so and man it’s been great. Thank you both for opening and playing through all these sets, I really hope to see more swccg sometime soon in the future!

Thanks for doing this series guys, it's been a blast following it. This game seemed incomprehensible when I found my brother's starter decks growing up....now that I've seen it all in action I wish I had figured it out back then, it's so ridiculous and incredible.

Around 43:00, the guys start talking about cards with no game text. All the Vader and Luke cards do, although the ones from the 2-player starter set were still pretty terrible. The cards that did come out without game text were included in some freebie packs that Decipher released as a way to give players free access to main characters like Han, Leia, and Tarkin, without just passing out rare cards. They were called Jedi Packs.

Thank you guys again for doing this series! This has been an absolutely brilliant idea and has reinvigorated my love for this game, and has even helped me get my friends into it! I hope you guys do revisit this game with some regularity with themed decks - as you've pointed out, this game is at its absolute best when decks are designed to play against each other. This Death Star 2 game was such an epic conclusion! You guys rock for making this series happen!

I really enjoyed watching this series. Big fan of Star Wars and the CCG since it came out, but haven’t played since Decipher stopped printing it, mostly because I can’t get anyone to play it. I really like how you finally noticed the Dark side systems were darker/ had shadows over them in the final episode of the series. So much to read and look at in this game.
Also 1:28:40 mind erasing kits; is that a Space Ghost reference? 😂

While the battle of Ensor commences, An elite empire squadron arrives at Sollust awaiting the arrival of Lord Vader hoping to overpower the rebels guarding the shipyards. Little did they know Vader would never arrive and the rebels are much more heavily armed then they initially appear…

Because everyone in the world cares about my opinions...
Episode 9 was *passable sort of all the way up to the last line. Once Rey delivers the last line of the movie, it became a terrible movie. The whole character arc, everything compelling about her character, is summed up in Leia's line at the beginning of the movie; then the last line of the movie completely contradicts Leia's line. There's a lot bad about 9, but the last line of the movie renders the film (and largely the whole sequel trilogy) incoherent.
The prequels at least had a consistent story sketched out. The execution wasn't great at many, many points; but they're undeniably better than the sequels.

Thanks for this great trip down memory lane.
As an LCG player now, my mind hurts watching how bad your deck would be competitively with ~$200 investment in a box.
You got some great pieces (Vader + Saber, Lando + Gold 1 Falcon), but you didn’t get enough to replay the big movie moments like blowing up the Death Star or trying to turn Luke to the Dark Side.
In an LCG $200/year would get you a play set of every card and access to every strategy.
Would love to play more of this game, but it’s just not worth that much $$$.

I will say that Tattooine as a set is a great limited experience. They included objectives at uncommon so you have better build around cards. And that's on top of what you have noticed about when a set is on one planet (or space in general) making for a better play experience. The same is true of the other two EP1 sets. And with those three you could include Prequel as one of the themed constructed episodes.

Not wrong about the dagger, I was laughing out loud in the theatre and I don't think that was the intended effect they were going for.

  • @christianlye-knudsen5811

Did Zach use his matching pilot/ship Effect twice in the same turn? You can only do that once per turn (though it isn't clearly spelled out on the card).

    - Loving the additional commentary from Bryce. Just casually hearing a 3rd voice from outside the frame is great!! But… we need a Bryce Cam. It’s not the cam Bryce wants, but it’s the one the fans deserve, lol.
    - This chase isn’t comparable to the chase scene in Ep 8… this one is actually entertaining and not part a bad part of a terrible movie.
    - DSII, 3 planets, dogfight skirmish, Rebels triumph over the Imperials… what a fitting way to complete the booster box series.
    - This series is like a tv series. I could easily watch this series over and over again, and will do so!! Thank you for this, honestly. Your streams are great and you have shown me some great gams and reminded why I love some of my older games. This game has a special place, not just because its Star Wars, but also because this was the 1st CCG I really played. I dabbled in Magic and Pokemon but the Star Wars CCG was my 1st, so from the bottom of my heart… thank you 😊
