Better than Mori??? I would say SoHyang from South Korea, of course she is about 20 years Mori's senior. So take that for what's it worth. Now as amazing as Mori is, my favorite singer from the Philippines is actually Gigi de Lana. Katrina Velarde is fantastic as well. I call them the 3 Queens of the Philippines.
Katrina Velarde is not a better singer, she is almost as good as Morissette, but she is grittier and herr songs have less polish but more passion than Morissette. Morisette is like Miss Perfect, and Katrina is like her edgier cousin.
Mori is the best but there is an Australian singer who can rival her. Have as listen yo Vanessa Amarossi singing live at the 2000 olympics, Heroes alive forever. Best live performance I have ever heard.
