Not particularly horror but more of a thriller- I LOVE HANNIBAL. Who cares if it’s not scary to you( as in the hypothetical strawman), you should read into the artistic meaning and understand the horror of manipulation 🗣️ IT ALSO HAD A BIG TUMBLR FANDOM AND ITS BEAUTIFUL- Hannibal is so dear to me, especially after everything I’ve written and read.
Tldr; please WATCH Hannibal, even if it’s more thriller than horror, it’s still very dear to me and I would SCREAM if you covered it.

Don't forget the Total Drama Island analog horror. The name of the account escapes me rn but it's on tiktok too. The basic premise is that when the show was going to start,one of the contestants appeared dead meaning a killer was *on the island* and basically Chris + recording crew fucked off leaving all these teenagers alone in an island with a killer (I believe Chris receives consequences,eventually)
Yes he did, from what I remember Chris got killed by the ghosts of the dead contestants after he returned to see if there were survivors

Honestly, a creator called ‘luigikid’ is the main reason I didn’t fall out of the creepy games fandom. His contests has breathed life and creativity back in to rpg/game horror. There’s always so many cool, interesting, spooky games being created by such talented people for his contests.
Now with the “infection Au’ trend and so many people picking up old properties and trying to fix them in this resurgence. It takes me back to those days of being a creepypasta kid, when I’d scour the internet and CZcams for that next video or game to give me nightmares. It’s nostalgic.

I had an idea for a Web series for a while. The idea is that every episode is a 20-minute long analog horror esc re-take on a classic creepypasta. From “Abandoned by Disney.” To “Bootleg SpongeBob” to “The Rake.” But I don’t have the time, money, and resources for it at all. I’m still in high-school and suck at making videos, so it’s going to be in the back burner for a while.
It's free to type it down on a Google document. Make a rough draft ans save it for when you find someone to help you with the web series. It will be hard still but a rough draft will help you find an artist or fellow writer to help in the future

I knew MOST of the things mentioned and hearing a lot of it actually made me very emotional😭 FNAF and BATIM and all the other stories here. I remember watching marble hornets after seeing a video essay on it and I still don’t regret it. ALSO- now I know why Welcome to Dreamworld had some jumpscares the actually got me. I remember going into that blind, and I was not expecting any of it.
I remember the creepypastas as well, and it helped me write probably one of my most frightening characters I’ve ever conceptualized. (Her name is Stitches, and she’s a serial taxidermist who turns her victims into her twisted form of art. Basically chopping them up and turning them into rag dolls or any type of doll. She’s an assassin for a secret organization I have in my world called ASHES. Dying to her quickly is a mercy.)
I’m so happy to have more things to see and I’m definitely going to be checking out a lot of these❤❤❤❤ thanks for the new video Rain!
Also edit- the puzzle in the ARG Was definitely one of my favorite parts because it was so damn unnerving. I think it’s just the composition of the entire artwork as you put it together. Probably one of the most chilling pieces of art I’ve seen in a very long time.
i’m actually good friends with the person that made the mlp infection video at 0:33! He’s made lots of other analog horror videos and drawings with The Owl House and Bluey. Incredibly talented kid!! I definitely recommend anyone watching to check him out. I know they would be so thrilled to know their art made it onto a creepypasta video, even if it’s just for a few seconds :)
I’m sure someone has already said it but the infection at by Chloë is called Divine Swamp Fever, a play on the swamp fever from the show. That episode has been one of my all time favorites since it came out, so I have hyper fixated on it and this infection AU by extension. It’s definitely my favorite infection AU because of how unique it really is
Glad to see I'm not the only one who's trying to make new material. It's interesting to hear and read what other people have come up with, it helps with inspiration for some of my own stuff.
Small edit: as for favorite horror films, I really wish people would talk about Black Christmas more (the 1900's version, not the reboot), along with The Boy (the first one). Because there are so many things you can notice it you really try and watch closely, and so many theorys you can come up with (me and a friend of mine love talking about the slashers and coming up with head cannons and theorys). For instance, in Halloween ends, they could have done so much more with Corey's character, it's sad to see all that waisted potential.
Man this has inspired me to an old concept I had of a MLP horror series where there was always going to be a 7th member of the main cast but she was discarded but what if discarded characters end up infecting the show and they don't go away from the cutting room floor
She would also have major spite against Starlight and Sunset cause she see's them as her "replacement" man all this got the creative juices flowing

on the subject of the infection AUs, not an infection AU but shoutout to Island of the slaughtered, Total drama island horror AU with these urban legend-y ghost takes on the characters wasn't on my 2023 bingo card but it somehow kind slaps and is pretty terrifying in a way that is kind of special to me and i appreciate it for it's haunted camp vibes.
My friend and I saw Everfree Infection au and Obereon in it, so I got really excited when you mentioned you were his owner! I hadn't even realized! He's super cute in your style.
A while back, I accidentally had a copy of the Marble Hornets DVD/BR collection signed by the creators/cast. I bought it deliberately but had no idea who was selling it and got their signatures by chance.
Honestly were it not for The Walten Files 4 coming out, Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, discovering BATDR had finally come out while I was away, and finding Ghosttundra’s work with the Lacey flash games and Bug Girl; I woulda given up on horror.
I’m so glad I didn’t; the new resurgence has been well worth the wait!

I am so glad these Creepypastas are coming back cause growing up, I loved them!!! Especially the remasters of fanfics and all the Mlp infection AU trend. I'll admit, when I saw your Muffins Saga video, I got so deep into the Mlp horror genre again and even made a video about Mlp Creepypastas and now I may make an Mlp infection AU series for next Halloween, so I'm stuck here now lol. I have been watching Another Apple Sleep Experiment, especially since one of my friends did some art for the project. I can totally understand how some didn't like its story, but it's still good from what I've seen. I am glad just to see the return of Creepypastas and internet horror as a whole. I do hope you redo Containment Records, but I will be waiting as long as possible so yeah.
The more realistic horrors hit wrong right now, so we gotta go back to that nostalgic whimsy type horrors.
Honestly, this new era of creepypasta is... actually shockingly good. Its like people took the notes of what made old creepypasta kind of lame, and improved the quality by ten fold.

I know this has been 2 months and someone probably already pointed it out, but Marble Hornets technically already counts as a series within its own fandom (or hell it's even it's own canon) called Slenderverse. I say it has it's own canon because most Slenderverse series such as TribeTwelve, EverymanHYBRID, Whispered Faith, and MLAndersen00 all are canon within each other in some way, or have crossed over. Marble Hornets has never done this, and is known as it's own universe or "show" within another "show".
Nothing, NOTHING, beats the low poly edited Slenderman "siting" pictures. That stuff scared me to the core when I first stumbled upon them.

I swear marble hornets is SEVERELY under appreciated. I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard you first mention it, it is quite literally the best thing I’ve ever watched and I’ve been obsessed for literal YEARS (I have bi-annual rewatches). I most definitely agree it shouldn’t fall under the creepypasta umbrella because of how wonderful it is on its own without ties to the creepypasta name.
I relate to so much in this video. Trying to keep it brief but I'm so excited for you! I watched lost narrator and scribbler so much in high school, I remember writing some stories as my own (that was stupid of me) and showing it to my "friends" who thought I was weird.
But I'm so glad you got to collab with some of your favorite pony people! I'm not great with social stuff or conversation, but I wish I could be friends with someone like you, you work very hard to achieve your goals! Creepypasta - A short story, typically of a horror form, retaining the ease of copying and pasting a Copypasta retains. A term now used for stories that fall out of this definition, perhaps reconsidered for another horror story label (Novel, Analog, UnFiction, Film, etc.)
Sadpasta- a short story that has minor horror but is more sad. They aren’t as well known but they still are good.
I really like the New creepy stuff people are making it seems like we have all learned from the 2010's and now people are being creative thinking a lot about their writing and how they present it Shipwhreck 64 for example is one of the most amazing arg's i have ever seen

I have literaterally only ran across a single infection au, and it was for TADC. Then again, I am not on any of the platforms you listed and am not in the MLP fandom. I just remember being mad the toys changed after Friendship is Magic first aired, but I did watch a Pinky Pie movie that came out before then that came with a toy, and I was eating BBQ chicken pizza. For most of my life, I thought Rainbow Dash's name was Rainbow Sprout. I had my own lore going with my gen 3 toys, and it was nothing like the official lore.

I remember about a creepy pasta I listened to on CZcams when I was younger. It was called "My Dream About Tails Doll." It was about a guy who had a nightmare about Tails Doll chasing him through an abandoned subway or something like that. I think it was deleted from CZcams and is gone forever, but I would like to listen to it again to see if it was actually good or if my nostalgia is tricking me.

Dude BEN Drowned was like a renaissance for online horror- I know looking back the editing was relatively simple by today's standards but at the time having actual video evidence to back up a creepypasta was revolutionary. And considering how complex the story actually got I think it's kinda insulting for him to get lumped in with Jeff and Smile Dog cuz sure he /fits/ the definition of a creepypasta but good lord he is so much more than that. I mean look at the clever bot stuff! You didn't see many pastas online that you could /actually/ interact with. He's leagues above Jeff and Jane and all those other overly romanticized pastas you'd see anime edits of. I think it's a shame that he gets over looked so often just cuz he's relatively simple compared to the crazy stuff like Mr. TomatoeS we see today. He set a trend and I think he and his creator deserve the credit gosh dang it💃✨✨✨

I’ve seen a bunch of troll infection AU’s on tik tok , my favorite was made by (and don’t start about this username) Yaoi god on tik tok , their AU is just awesome , I love infection AU’s as it’s like a new age of good Creepypasta , I really do plan on making my own infection AU one day. I already have a sorta mascot/analog horror series started on my channel , and I was kinda inspired by you to make it ✨

But I did my own version so I'm not one to talk.
I get really creeped out by this stuff but for some reason I just LOVE watching it, not even for the scares or the storylines I just really like macabre-looking things (think like Magnus Archives infection stuff or I dunno any form of body horror minus blood) and zombies!! I will watch basically any virus/zombie movie. However. As much as Monument Mythos matched all of that creepy stuff I just couldn’t follow what was going on. So like I watch “explained” videos or summaries and I’m currently on the mm Reddit? But I still don’t know wtf the storyline is so if anyone has an easier way to approach that one if would be sick

I have lived out in the middle of nowhere for the majority of my life. I preferred the city, as out here it was always so quiet, the kind of quiet that ‘things’ tend to thrive in. Despite the quiet, it’s never peaceful, as every once in a while a sound will be heard with no apparent source. Haley doesn't mind it much though. Haley, she is the reason I moved back out here. She’s always loved nature, the first project she pursued when we got here was making a treehouse before we even had a chance to finish decorating our actual house. She's the love of my life, and while I don't like it out here, she makes it all worth it.
I woke up to see that Haley wasn’t there, “she’s up already?” I grumbled to myself as I got out of bed. I usually woke up before her. I started heading to the bathroom to change, and I thought I smelled something burning so I went downstairs to investigate. I walked into the kitchen, greeted by Haley cooking. “Love, is something burning?” I asked, and she chuckled, a big grin appearing on her face. “Nope, I just like my mushrooms extra crispy,” she explained in a joking tone. With that explanation another question came to mind, “why are you making mushrooms anyhow?” I asked. Haley bluntly responded, “Omelets--” she paused raising the spatula in a gesture somewhat similar to a shrug. She asked,” you like just potatoes in yours, right?" I answered with a simple “mhm.” A grin started to appear on my face, ‘God, her smile is contagious’.
Haley joined me at the table, sitting my plate down in front of me and then sitting across from me with hers. I then scoot her tea over to her, “thank you” she graciously accepts. I take a bite of my breakfast “Thank you love, this is delicious,” she beamed, “maybe now you'll let me cook alone some more,” she said as she pointed her fork to me. I laughed “not a chance, do I need to remind you of last time?” I push her fork back to her and resume eating ‘she has been improving, but she still burns a majority of the food’. Haley shrugs, “I mean... you do need to break a few eggs to make an omelet” she joked, “a few dozen, you mean” I pointed at her with my fork, accidentally knocking over the saltshaker in the process. I picked some up and threw it over my shoulder, at which she chuckled. ‘Her laughter is just as contagious as her smile’. My laughs soon joined hers, as we watched the leaves fall outside while enjoying the wonderful morning.
I was cleaning when I looked at the clock to see it was 2:35. ‘She should have been back by now’. She had gone to forage, but she’d usually be back within a couple hours. After a few minutes of searching drawers, I pulled out one of our walkie-talkies, turned it on, and pressed the button on the side and I spoke into the microphone “Hello?” She didn’t respond, and I, now worried, ran outside once arriving at the edge of the woods and yelled, “HALEY!!!!” With no response, I attached the walkie-talkie to my belt and ran into the forest.
I began wading through the foliage when I heard a rustling sound. I went to follow it, but I struggled to get through the foliage, as it got denser the further into the forest I went. I hated being in the forest, the thorns, spurs, and dense trees made it hard to navigate, not to mention the wild animals and all the bugs. Haley never took this long though, so I was getting worried. While searching I heard something “Haley! Are you there?” I heard it again but this time it was clearer, was it whispering? I heard it again, and this time I knew “Jess...” I grabbed the walkietalkie from my belt, “Love? are you there?” I asked. There was no answer. “Haley!" I yelled, to no response. I put the walkie-talkie in my jacket pocket. As I climbed over some debris, I braced myself against two trees to keep balance until I got back onto the ground. When I stepped back onto the ground, I heard a loud *snap* that caused me to almost fall backwards, but I caught myself on some nearby trees. Once I regained my bearings, I stood back up and tried to find the source of the sound. I looked down to realize I had stepped on a twig, and I breathed a quick sigh of relief and continued my search.
It was starting to get cold and I was starting to regret not grabbing my jacket on the way out of the house. A strong gust of wind blew by, almost knocking me over and causing a shiver to run up my spine. I heard the whispering once more “jess...” it sounded louder now, I paused for a moment “love?” I called, the wind picked up once more, I grabbed my arms in an attempt to keep warm. the sun was setting and it was getting harder and harder to see. I took a deep breath, I needed to remain calm ‘Haley is right, I have nothing to be afraid of’. I suddenly heard loud rustling behind me and halfway through my next step something sharp grabbing my leg, startled I jumped almost tripping and managing to get my leg free, after just barely regaining my balance enough to, I ran, winding through the trees and brambles getting caught on some, jumping over rocks and logs, I only stopped when I ran out of breath. I looked behind me to see nothing there, I must have lost it, but I needed to find Haley and get out of here before it found me again my pants where torn where I felt it and my ankle was scratched.
after a bit longer, I heard it again “Jess...” but now it was a much clearer I reached for my belt and the walkie talkie to give it another shot only to find out it wasn’t there, ‘I must’ve dropped it while running’ I let out a frustrated sigh, then what made that noise? I panicked looking around and seeing nothing, my heart was pounding, it was now getting foggy, that combined with the sun being almost completely set made it nearly impossible to see, only to hear it again ”jessss....”, the distorted noise nearly made me fall over, with a gust of freezing wind accompanying it, now I just wanted to leave this stupid forest.
feeling something sharp wrapped a around my leg I quickly searched for a way out, only to discover if I didn’t want to backtrack, I'd need to jump over a few crumbled logs, so I did just that. I ran jumping over the logs, I tripped on the way down scratching my leg and stumbling I was able to continue running my clothes getting caught on brambles on the way, but that mixed with exhaustion where causing me to lose my balance. The wind was so intense the trees where swaying, the wind even almost knocked me over a few times, I looked behind me to see nothing following me, and looked back up to see ‘a road!’ I ran to it, I heard what sounded like cracking or maybe a growl and another large gust of wind hit me, shortly followed by something slamming into my shoulders and back knocking me over and onto the ground, with everything almost immediately fading to black.
I continued my search, trying to use the walkie-talkie to find her. I got a call from the town sheriff, telling me they had found her, she was lying unconscious by the roadside with a large branch on top of her, she seemed to be alright with the majority of injuries consisting of a few scrapes, the most serios being on her back where she was stabbed by the branch but that wasn’t to serious as it didn’t cause any bleeding, I cleaned her up getting the branch off her and picking off come brambles that where stuck to her ankle. she was driven to the clinic to be examined for future injuries but nothing came up. After she was patched up and awake I drove her home, “I'm glad you’re ok” she mumbled I could tell she was on the verge of tears and exhausted, I responded with “I know love, everything's ok now, just rest.” in an attempt to reassure her, once we arrived home I helped her into bed and we snuggled both relieved that other was alright.
