Ever noticed Bayonetta looks shorter in Smash than in the game?
They downsized her for balance
If she was bigger, she'd be weaker, as she is still very light and big enough to get comboed easily. If they're gonna make her bigger, at least make her heavier and stronger, but if they do that, she'd break the game even more than steve basically lol A heavy Bayonetta would equal best character in SSBU.

I think the core Bayonetta games use a lot of angles that accentuate her height, such as following her leg down to show her firing the foot guns.
