Zangief is so incredibly fun to watch. His lines, his attitude, his animations, just the way he moves in general, and, of course, the play-style. Capcom pulled off a real trick because he's supposed to be a showy pro wrestler and they made him entertaining not just inside of the world of Street Fighter but to the spectator at home too.
agreed, it's a masterpiece of animation and voice acting
100% they did a great job. Every character in the game currently has so much personality/attention to detail design wise/animation wise. Looking forward to how Alex and Hugo/other grapplers turn out if they end up making it into the game as DLC at some point.
The triple dash spd at the end was just disrespectful lmfao

Glad someone confirmed it's new. I was almost certain I've been gaslit into thinking Gief could do it all this time and we only now discovered it.
@@Aflay1everything I've seen shows that it came out this patch. Granted, I've never see anyone try it before the Ed patch. But I'm 99.9999% sure it came with this patch.
@@MasterDianWei it is, this patch buffed the lariat and even made it an alright anti air especially EX which you can KINDA follow up on but haven't tested it enough to confirm what's the most viable option so i just sorta lariat again
@Aflay1 You could cancel certain moves into lvl 3 it just wouldn't connect before

The fact that you can now chain your lariat into a super is a BIG buff for the Gief

Supers cancelled out of another move or combo will receive a huge damage penalty.
It's a thing for every character, and in many Street Fighter games.
Gief simply benefits more from raw reads, but this is Demondan, and he must flex his gamer skill on the noobs 3:39

yo just wanted to say rq you don't need to take the lvl 2 from ed at point blank, it has a 7 frame startup and it isn't invincible so you couldve done a lvl 3 there or even just hellstab
