Exactly what I was thinking. The trousers looked good but the red jumper top was too short. The sweeter dress with streamlined trousers would be a super combo.

It isn’t a very big haul (I bought 3 things, very limited suitcase space!). But I tried on a lot - it was fun!!
Both dresses looked lovely on you. The pleather trousers looked great. Wear with a long sweater or shirt and heeled black court shoes, you have long legs and with the right shoes you would look knockout. The denim skirt was also a winner. Would love to hear about your trip to Germany. My husband lived there for quite a few years and he loved it. He loved the fact they carried out their roadworks at night. He gets very upset by our endless roadworks in the UK and wishes we had more German like efficiency. We are both blonde, he with blue and me with green eyes. We are both handed menus written in German when on holiday. Darren understands enough German to order in German and confuse everyone. Met some lovely German people on holiday and surprising how you can follow conversations when you have had a drink despite not speaking the language. Take care. Wendy

That vintage dress looks amazing!!! I see that worn to holiday parties or a live holiday concert. Loved the Merry sweater with the jean skirt, super fun-the type of outfit one could wear mini Christmas ornament earrings with and maybe even a fun Santa hat. The last dress, OMG YES! And the Christmas Cookie Dress was Stunning too! The sweater dress, could you try it with the "leather" pants, kind of a tunic/leggings look? I've never been a fan of the whole faux leather pants look but I thought they looked cute on you. The pink/orange sweater is a definite yes and the Merry sweater too, Especially with the jean skirt!!! I didn't love the white sweater but it's always good to have layering pieces available and the green sweater looked incredibly soft but I could not handle the high neckline on it. Oh! and I loved the dress you bought in Germany! Welcome home!

I had a denim skirt like that back in the 80s, or maybe late 70s. I loved it. I was like a size 9 back then so everything looked good on me.
I had a non-stretchy Jean skirt years ago. My legs were so claustrophobic that I would go in the bathroom just to lift the skirt so I could let my legs breathe. It was a horrible experience, I will never forget it. ❤

Keep trying a sweater dress. I finally found one that fits. I did have to size up also. There are also sweater type dresses that are more a-line. Those work better for our sweet apple shapes. Haha.
So, I have one that I got at Dillards years ago- but it is somewhere between a short A-line and fitted- looks lovely. Then I grew out of it and now fit in it again. But every sweater dress I e tried since it short and tight is a very unattractive way- I’m going to keep hunting, thank you for the encouragement!
Love your posts - however, the chit chat is cumbersome for me - maybe not others - the best part is seeing you in the clothes - that’s where you are giving us the most info - so thx for modeling & showing how garments look on on full figured body.

Other than the dress you got in Germany, my favorite was the cut velvet looking dress. It looks lush and rich and Soooooo beautiful. I understand what you mean about feeling beautiful but honey you've got it. There is absolutely nothing wrong in feeling beautiful as long as we don't add "more beautiful than" to the sentence. The leatherish pants are really cute!! I have a couple of pair (I am a size 16/18) and mine are more pencil pants: its all about finding your personal style with those. Ankle boots would look really cool with them, as would knee-high boots if you like those.

I’m in love with the long teal dress and the pink fuzzy sweater - the sweater reminds me of Snuffaluffagus in a good way! You could wear the black/white sweater dress as a tunic over the faux leather pants, but if the pants aren’t breathable you just might not wear them. I love Curve Soul clothes but I did let their customer support know that I wish they’d show Canadian currency on their website like most other companies do 🇨🇦
Black pants look really good on you. I too have large calf’s and I’d wear those in a sec. But a longer top fit me.

That sweater dress would look so good with the pleather pants… those pants could go with a pair of boots high or short. You could mix textures as well, I wouldn’t stress too much about being matchy matchy. Have you ever considered getting going darker with the hair? I think you would look 😉 fantastic

I think most of the haul, particularly the two dresses, was really nice. I didn’t like the shiny pleather trousers. They don’t seem to flatter anyone. Your dog looked so adorable with his chin on the windowsill.

I'm getting to this one late and catching up :-) that green and copper dress has been haunting me lol - there is just something about the colours! Thanks for doing this, it's nice to have options outside of LB or Torrid (or in my case as even though I'm older than dirt I still love alt clothes Hot Topic) take care down there!
Another place u may want to check out and where I shop from for my plus size clothes is Curvy Botique. They have amazing plus size clothes. U will like it because everything has pockets. It offers a lot of things from jeans to dresses. Thought I let u know.
Hi Meredith, Jessica London sells a beautiful fit and flare sweater dress. I get so many compliments when I wear that dress. It has a V neck, solid top, perfectly placed stripes on the skirt and I have had it for 2 years and it still looks perfect after many wearing. Also, it is not a heavy knit, perfect for your region.

The pleather pants would work with a white fashion sneaker like the lucky brand divahna or Steve Madden catcher. Particularly with something like the sweater. If you wear it with a dressy top, a black ankle boot, not shiny though because you’ll never get the shines to match.

Ever read or watch "The Lorax" ? That first cardigan is a Thneed and I love it! 🤣My 2 cents: I'd pair the faux leather pants with a black boot that's tall enough to cover the bottom of the pant. Just because they didn't look quite long enough (aka tall lady struggles! ) and it will give a smoother line to the look. The burnout velvet dress is def you! so pretty. As someone who also carries their weight in their stomach area, I've learned as much as I like them on other people, bodycon, most sweater dresses, and anything straight up and down shape wise, is just not going to look flattering on me.
I would love it in you would talk a little about where you find good shoes.
